Are her leaves curling up at the end because of the usage of tap water??? Has anyone tested this theory?

How often are you watering her? The soil looks moist so Itās possible youāre overwatering or providing too much direct sunlight?
0 gillningarI have a water meter and I bottom water her whenever I do. This was just a picture that I added to my planta, itās not current right now. And she get very indirect sun, no direct!
1 gillaThatās awesome!! What a beautiful plant, and Iām such a sucker for bottom watering too, have a great day!
0 gillningarDo you think itās just the use of tap water?! I really donāt know what else it could be š
0 gillningarIt definitely depends on the tap water in your area but it definitely could be, the minerals and chemicals in tap water can cause curling leaves. I use distilled water and have never had curling and dying leaves compared to when I used tap water. Maybe use distilled water and see if that changes anything?
1 gillashes so pretty
0 gillningarThank you! I love her and I just want her to be happy š
0 gillningarI bought a tabletop reverse osmosis system for this reason. It was pretty affordable on Amazon and it doesnāt take up much room.

Yup! I use filtered water on all my plants now (just easier for the divas). Calatheaās definitely do better. Iāve invested in a 5 gallon jug and a āspoutā off amazon to empty into a watering can. I donāt have this plant specifically but I have a HUGE rattlesnake, Fishbone, prayer plants (maranta - similar but different). Once I made the switch they improved so much
1 gillaThank you!
1 gillaNot enough humidity
1 gillaI agree with Yolanda. I always thought low humidity caused leaves to curl.

Recommend tap water treated with aquarium conditioner over distilled water. Distilled will be expensive over time unless you have access to cheap refill stations where you can get it in bulk. You only need 2-3 drops per gallon. Can get it from Amazon or any pet store for pretty cheap
