My soil seems to stay wet longer these days. It’s the Same miracle gro indoor potting plant soil I have used for a couple of years. I also add extra perlite. Has anybody had this experience? I have not been watering these plants. some plants are in full sun, others part sun. Our house is at 75degrees and like in the 40/50s percent humidity. I don’t remember this happening last year. In fact some of my pothos have been dripping water! I have put paper towels to absorb some moisture under the ones that have remained wet for a while. I am worried about root rot. 😐 thanks!

I’ve been bottom watering and have noticed that I’m not needing to water as frequently since it’s really holding onto the moisture - same potting soil!

I’ve actually started just started using a homemade chunkier soil mix now so I can prevent the constantly wet soil

I’m not very educated with my plants yet but I am crazy about them. I especially love my pathos plants I call them vine plants. Mine have always had tiny water droplets on the leaves hours after watering and the next day. I think they must drink up the water like a straw and share on down the line. It’s never been cause for me to be alarmed and they are growing like crazy.

The droplets are called Guttation. Essentially, its the plant getting rid of excess moisture and is 100% normal :)
