Plant Dad

Hi Plant fam, me again. I've had a Croton Petra for about 1.5 years. It was outgrowing the pot it was in which was a self watering planter. I was having a hard time finding a larger self watering planter so I thought I could still maintain the moisture level it was used to; boy was I wrong. Since removing it, it started giving me attitude and went from full of all different colored leaves and flowering every few months to now dropping its leaves. =( Long story short (too late), what is a good, fun houseplant that will do well with getting some direct sunlight? Depending on time of year it can vary to just a couple of hours of direct sun and as much as about 6 or 8. I already have a Tineke Rubber Tree. Looking for something different, fun, maybe colorful. Open to whatever. This is what it used to look like =(

Beautiful! Sorry about the stress. I hope that it's still diagnosable? Did the soil change a lot?

Soild didn't change much at all. I absolutely loved this plant; the colors on it just Wowd me! I cut both stems to see if I can water propagate and also kept the "stumps" as the roots looked super healthy. Worst case scenario, I will by another one and try again loll ...Now that im thinking of it, i might take the stump out of soil and maybe try pon with it.
