Hey yāall! Iāve got a question I think only a group of >40,000 people can answer! Iāve been doing research and none has been conclusive, I cant find if ONLY the Mimosa Pudica is touch-sensitive, or better phrased, if any other plants in the Mimosa genus will close when touched, I ask this because where I live (and Iāve also see in florida, the caribbean, and mexico) there is a tree that grows really tall and has Mimosa-like leaves but no research on itās sensitivity to touch is available! I guess what I want to know is the touch sensitivity among plants in the Mimosa genus and if the plant I am thinking of even is Mimosa? I ask this because recently I took a seed pod and germinated successfully and the sprouts look EXACTLY like a Pidicaās emerging set of leaves, could anyone help???
