Help, I am having a serious problem with my large Kalanchoeā€™s. Iā€™ve had these for several years and they have thrived to the point Iā€™ve given away 100ā€™s of cuttings. I put them outside on my deck in the summer as I live in New Hampshire so they canā€™t stay outside all year. Iā€™ve never had any issue with them except they donā€™t flower often. However this winter I started noticing on the 4 Large ones I have that the leaves have white dust on them. Two of the four have dropped 98% of its leaves but new shoots and leaves are starting. Can anyone tell me what the issue is and how to solve it??? Iā€™m attaching a picture of one from last October and the same plant today. I so would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

      Oh isnā€™t that interesting. I also think itā€™s not so helpful that some are just liking my post and not making any helpful feedback. So thank you for letting me know that youā€™re having the same issue. Fingers crossed someone will be able to help us. šŸ˜

    If I had to take a guess.. maybe mildew? Thatā€™s the only white dust I can imagine.Heres a mix to apply once a week for 3-4 weeks and just reapply as needed. Baking soda solution: Mix 1 tablespoon baking soda and Ā½ teaspoon liquid soap such as Castile soap (not detergent) in 1 gallon of water. Spray liberally, getting top and bottom leaf surfaces and any affected areas. This method may work better as a preventative measure, although it does have some effect on existing powdery mildew as well.

      Thank you so much Iā€™ll give this a try. Mildew makes sense since the soil is taking longer to dry out this winter. Iā€™ll let you know how it goes and thanks again. šŸ˜˜
