My Maranta is struggling. I do everything the app instructs me to do and she’s near a window so she gets enough light. She has well draining soil. What else should I try? What kind of fertilizer do you use?

They are extremely finicky! Need distilled or fileted water. And they are sensitive to drafts. I use miracle gro fertilizer, and a bit of Recharge. Mine is about 3 feet from an east window. I'm in zone 6. I hope this is helpful! God luck!

I do do the filtered water. She has new leafs coming but she droops! No drafts. I’ll try a different fertilizer. I use indoor plants Fertilome. I look into Recharge too. Thanks!
0 gillningarFiltered water? Do you have a house system filter (or a faucet filter), or are you buying bottled spring water. Because spring water is not filtered water.

THAT may be…it’s so hot and humid outside on my balcony. I may stick her outside with those plants and test that..thanks

If you do choose to get one I recommend the bigger the less refilling water you have to do so keep that in mind. This one is my 2 gallon and I refill usually every 1.5-2 weeks with it set to 70% humidity

A lot of plants leaves tend to roll up like this when lack of humidity. Well minds do anyway so I’m guessing maybe that’s the cause

Try putting the pot on a tray of pebbles with a little water in it. Keep the water below the bottom of the pot. If that works, it's the humidity and you can buy a humidifier
1 gillaMine does great but I keep it near the window in our bathroom. It gets humid in there every time someone takes a shower (at least once a day).
1 gillaCurling leaves are usually a sign of not enough moisture either in the air or soil. It could be your well draining soil is working too well. I water mine when the meter hits about 30% or just inside the dry area of a regular meter. Perhaps get yourself a humidistat to check the household humidity level.

Yeah, during these hot and humid days we have the AC very cool so I’m thinking now it’s not get much humidity

Great! I’m going to try getting one of those too
0 gillningarJust because it’s near a window doesn’t necessarily mean it’s getting enough light. Although I do agree with the other commenters saying that the rolled up leaves usually means it’s a humidity issue

Good to know thx
0 gillningarMine actually did best when not directly in front of a window. Indirect light and more moist soil.

0 gillningarI have the string hanging from my so I put it in a cup where the string could dangle and put rain water in the bottom. It is thriving. I’m not home or I’d put a picture with this post. Sorry
