How much sun does the patio get? Fun sun, part sun, part shade? How hot in the summers? Any pothos plant is a pretty safe bet any beginner friendly. Ficus plants / rubber trees are pretty easy (Burgundy, Tineki, moonshine) . They need a decent amount of light though or they start to get leggy. Basic monstera for part shade. Philo Brazil is good starter plant too

Any pothos would do great there. Golden, Manjula, marble/snow queen, Jassenia. I just moved to Florida and have those on my outside balcony. A multi tiered plant stand could work in that corner. Can find those for cheap on FB marketplace. Tradescantia zebrina āwandering dudeā is easy. Grows like a weed. Pretty common to find. Jade plant or Zebra Plant - Haworthia fasciata. Easy succulents. Philo Brazil. These are all pretty beginner friendly, IMO. Iād start looking into those and see if you like any of them. I recommend starting slow. Donāt go off the deep end and buy 20 plants right off the bat. Ask me how I know 𤣠Good luck!
1 gillaOk gotcha thanks Iām going to the store this weekend to buy your exact recommendations

0 gillningarGazanias are really nice and pretty easy to take care of. They are very drought tolerant too.
1 gillaIām going to look into those thank you
1 gillaYouāre welcome
1 gillaIf that picture was taken in the morning, your porch faces East. The best possible direction for plants. ( Sun is less strong) if that picture was taken in the afternoon, your porch faces west and you will need plants that can take FULL SUN! I live in SW FL and the sun as you know in the summer is brutal on plants. The hurricanes took out all our trees, so now we have no shade. Hope this helps on your plant selection. Maybe you can add a blind to help lessen the afternoon sun if you face west.
