Every since I bought this plant sheās been dramatic. Every time she pops out a new leaf, one or two die. The baby plant next to her is recent sprout and she too lost her other leaf. I have repotted her. Idk what else to do. Any suggestions?
fertilizer!!!!! they're starving, always. it's nutrient deficiency.

Oh I had that one. It didnāt make it šā¦ it was doing this exactly ā¦ Every time I new leaf grew the old one droopedā¦ then one day the leaves turned yellow and I just was over it. I tried fertilizing and giving silicon/silicone whatever itās called but I just couldnāt save itā¦ it was in a similar pot as this tooā¦ maybe repot? Thatās the only thing I think I didnāt doā¦ I hope you have better luck!! š

Alocasias are dramatic! I have maybe 100 of them! Some only like to give one leaf at a time! One leaf take up so much energy to maintain. Fertilizer every water and maybe mix some top soil fertilizer also! Chunky Mixā¦ I also add mother soil to my chuck mix! Air to the roots- let them breathe š§ šŖ“ love naked root pots!
She is in mother soil and an aroid mix. I will look up naked root pots too!! What fertilizer do you suggest for every water?

All I can offer is sympathy. My little Alocasias are thriving, but the big batwing acacia I brought back home from Loweās 6 weeks ago is difficult! I do fertilize every other watering as directed. I repotted when it came here originally and used some root hormone. It had pretty serious root rot when it came home so I know thatās part of the problem. I donāt know if itās going to make it or not. Two of the leaves look pretty solid. Itās literally lost 10 big leaves. I have the leaves staked for support.
I have 3 alocasias and they hate me š I have the black velvet, Polly and dragon one. The black velvet is the best one so far. The Polly is surviving š¤š¼š and the dragon was doing amazing and then all the sudden dropped dead šµ I had to remover her from her pot to save her and sheās been in water recovering for months

I fertilize 1/2 dose every time I watery alocasias and it seems to help them retain their foliage.

A lot of the time itās a light issue! I agree with fertilizing, but also take a look at what light itās getting. Very bright but definitely indirect
