I started using this app earlier this year, and I noticed that it tends to prompt me to overwater my plants. I want to get on top of my watering schedule because I have a trip coming up in the fall and I want to make it easy on my plant sitter. Is there a way to see the frequency of watering on each plant? Iāve looked around and there doesnāt seem to be anything thatās straightforward.
Have you looked at the history for each plant?

Completely agree with the skewer method. If the soil sticks to it, wait at least 2 days, then test it again. You can buy a bunch of metal skewers if you want a reusable option. Bamboo ones just tend to be cheaper to get in bulk. As for a watering schedule, going into your plantās individual settings and changing it to a ācustom watering scheduleā, then setting it to how long till your specific plant takes to dry out will help you prevent overwatering your plants too.

If you go to the plant info thereās a history section and it will tell you when all the past tasks have been completed

I look up each plants water preference and most say āwater when top soil is dry or when 50% dry. Then I put a finger in there or chopstick to see how damp it is going down. Then I water it until the soil is moist but not soggy. But some plants prefer wet feet and some prefer dry.
