    Omg. You just made me feel so much better about my fungus gnat problem. Thank you. I got a neat trap on Amazon that has a light that attracts them and once under the light a fan blows them onto a sticky

    It may seem weird but I put about 1/2-1 inch of sand on top of my soil and don’t have any fungus gnats. My husband will only enable my plant obsession if we don’t have bugs in the house and this has justified me bringing plants home every few weeks or so. 😂😂

    I don't see any, can you repost the picture but circle where the gnat is? 😂 If mosquito bits/nematodes doesn't fix your problem, I've had great success repotting my plants, replacing all the soil, and treating the roots with diluted hydrogen peroxide (4:1 water to H2O2). It's where the larvae like to hang out.

      WARNING though: Fungus gnats can survive in faucets/drains, so I would make sure to move your plants away from the kitchen or bathroom while you're treating them. Pouring boiling water down drains is the recommended treatment for drain gnats. Good luck! 🍀
