0 gillningarIām with SR heās just so cute! But I think if you just got him maybe wait a little before you repot and when you take him out look at his roots. If they look like they need space pot him up just a little bigger (not too much) but if they look like theyāre comfy you can leave him in his adorable tiny pot.
2 gillningarthatās such a cute pot !! i think you can leave him in there for now (if you have any guesstimates on how long heās been in there that might be helpful to estimate how big his roots might be). if he starts slowing down or seeming a little sad itās time to repot and size up an inch or so. repotting means he will grow bigger (yay!) but if you want to keep something cute and tiny around you can always prop off of him!
1 gillain my experience succulents grow pretty slow so heās fine in there for a while yet :) and new baby hermans will be super easy when the time comes!
1 gillaI already have like 7 little peas in another pot because he was so fragile on the way over. I canāt wait to have little Herman babies haha
1 gillaTotally depends on the roots. My starter string of pearls plant was in a 2ā pot and I had to downsize it to a terracotta saucer because it only had 1/2ā roots. It completely depends on the roots. You need a pot that the roots can reach the bottom of so it can suck up all the water. For now, just watch how fast the dirt gets dry, if it takes days, itās probably too big of a pot. If itās an hour, it might be too small. They like sitting in dry soil until the leaves look more cloudy or feel less firm, but if itās drying too fast, it might be a sign itās too small. Iād say the dirt drying really fast or really slow are good signs to dump it out and check the roots. Otherwise you are good to leave it.š For succulents, itās a bigger issue to be in too big of a pot than too small. Most have way smaller root systems than the size of their plant. So too big leads to root rot.
