I think I was wrong about my plant being fine, I just watered him and I came back to dump out the excess water that came out drainage holes then I see this! (Forgot what itâs called) fell off! Itâs completely new, starting sprouting 1-2 months ago and I come back after a few minutes and itâs just off the plant! Is this normal? While watering I did notice the tip of it becoming black but I didnât think anything of it, slightly reconsidering getting another plant!!
Iâm 60% sure that these little white dots are fungi but Iâm not entirely sure. Does anybody know what these little guys are in my pothos plant?
Hi new plant parent here. I just bought this pilea from facebook marketplace. Today in some dappled sun I noticed there is webbing across the soil and little spiders. (see spider on very bottom left leaf in picture) Is this something to worry about (spider mites) or harmless? I dont seed any white spots on leaves or webbing around leafs. Should I still quarantine this guy from other plants? And how to treat?
I need to know if itâs over for Jeff, he has been like this for a few months now. He used to be very green and healthy until I moved him back home. He lives in my conservatory with all the water he needs but doesnât seem to be recovering, is he dead? :(
can anyone help me understand what i'm doing wrong? the inner leaves are very crispy and dead but the stems seem relatively healthy
Overall looks healthy but this one leaf turned brown on ver the past few weeks, ideas on what caused this?
My Emerald Gem Plant is struggling and I donât know what to do! I tried different light and watering schedules. New leaves shrivel and die. Any ideas? Thank you!!
Got this variegated prickly pear about 2-3 weeks ago, didnât water for 16 days after I bought it and put it in a south facing window. Noticed it started looking a bit wrinkly and soft so I gave it a thorough watering 2 days ago - now it seems a bit more sturdy at the bottom but still soft at the top, so I checked its roots and they look healthy and fine, no sign of rot. However, found 2 tiny transparent worm in the soil which Im assuming are fungus gnat larvae, so I repotted it and sprayed with diluted hydrogen peroxide, should I water its new soil or keep it dry? Since itâs soft Im not sure what to do and if the worms or underwatering is the cause of this issue! What do you guys think, is my cactus okay?
How would I get rid of what looks to be silkworms on my rosemary?
How would I get rid of aphids on my Carolina Reaper?
Should I prune this leaf from my beauty? It was on it when I got her and just never snipped it off.
First time mama here for such a big and unique (to me) plant. I bought Burgundy (Ficus Burgundy) about a month ago for my birthday. But I canât seem to help her stop losing leaves. I keep seeing them turn yellowish and then fall off. I am using the Planta app to tell me when to water her (about once a week), but it still isnât helping. Please help! Here are a few things: 1) I did not repot her 2) The soil feels dry all the time from top to bottom. I donât want to overwater her (feed once a week and only until the water starts to drain from the drain holes) 3) She is less than a foot away from a window with sheer white curtains 4) I have a covered vent on the floor near her but the house stays at 70-72 degrees and there is no direct breeze/wind hitting her 5) the leaves are wilting (towards the bottom) 6) some leaves are still upright (towards the top) 7) some leaves are yellowish 8) other leaves are split (even though I didnât do anything to split them)
One of my snake plant leaves is yellowing and a bit soft. I water once a month. I havenât watered this guy in almost a month. Whatâs going on? Should I cut the yellow leaf off?
Is there anything I can do to bring this sweet baby back? He was the plant that got me into gardening and hasn't looked good since I repotted him about a month ago. Advice would be sincerely appreciated!
Is this blight? My customer had this lil rubber tree in their waiting room and it was looking so sad and dry, so I gave it some water from my bottle. My customer saw me doing this and asked if I wanted to take it home because nobody in the office was willing to take responsibility for caring for it lol. Now that Iâm getting a closer look at it, Iâm noticing these spots on a few of the leaves. I have it quarantined outside in the shade for now. Gave it a repot with fresh soil, snipped all of the leaves with any spots (plus one stem that looked like it had some funk on it) and I sprayed it down with some 3% hydrogen peroxide and neem oil/filtered water. Am I wasting my energy lol, or is it possible that I caught it in time? Is there anything else I can/should do?
I just noticed my alocasiaâs new leaf is turning yellow. Iâm not sure whether itâs root rot, nutrient deficient, and/or low humidity. The tiny leaf is the newest, it hadnât unfurled yet at the nursery. Any help is appreciated for a novice like me! Care: - Purchased and repotted over a month ago - Water every ~7 days - Feed every 14 days - Bright indirect light
Birkin looking a bit floppy recently and a couple leaves turning yellow/falling off, any ideas? Water it once a week and gets good light. Owned for at least a year in same pot.
Iâve got these white beads on the soil of two of my plants and Iâm trying to figure out if itâs some type of fungus or bug eggs or just the perlite in the soil gathering together?
Recently picked two plants up from the reptile and amphibian terrarium section of a pet store (in my defense, they were both only $7), and they were in this POOL filled with water đ± their soil was soaked and I noticed some webs, and saw one spider crawl out, but checked them for pests and the roots looked good once I got them home. I repotted them in some fresh, dry soil surrounding their current soil, and Iâm gonna let it dry out completely before watering, but Iâd like to ask for any tips to prevent any possible pest exposure now that theyâre home. Theyâre currently in quarantine, and I havenât seen anything on them since, but Iâd like to be safe than sorry. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
