Found this poor baby dying in one of my classes today, and my instructor allowed me to adopt / rescue it. I have no idea what kind plant this is based on the state it’s in. I’m probably asking for a lot but could anyone possibly identify what type of plant this is? My instructor said it was some type of succulent but has no idea the name of it. I don’t even know if it’s possible to save it at the current state it’s in or if I should cut it and hope it will regrow into something better. What is y’all’s advice for saving this little guy?

Hello! Can anyone help identify the issue with this Philo McDowell? It had been doing great, 3 weeks ago I came back from 10 day vacation and saw some very minor spider mites, which I treated and have not seen again but the leaves have these spots on them. Looked at under a magnifying glass and they aren’t moving like an insect or anything. One leaf has some damage and an almost an iredescent look. Thank you!

I just got this variegated peperomia Cupid from an online nursery and it came with all these brown spots on the leaves, I cannot find a definitive answer if this is a fungal infection or overwatered leaf damage? I would say it’s on about 75% of the leaves. I’ve been keeping it away from all other plants just incase. It doesn’t seem to be getting worse, and the plant is growing new leaves too. I’m hoping someone can shed some light on what’s happening. Thank you!!

My Nanouk Tradescantia has crispy brown edges, some worse than others. I water once soil is about 60-80% dry and gets bright indirect light. Any idea what is happening? Perhaps low humidity or under-watering?

Does anyone know what these little black/brown spots are on my ring of fire? This is a fairly new leaf and I looked at this plant yesterday and did not see the spots. It looks like this is the only leaf with them.

My baby looks unwell. I left him with my mom at her place since I had to leave for England for a month and this is how bad they’ve gotten. My mom is moving so for staging she put them outside in the on-and-off heat and rain. Never tending to them or leaving them inside, where they prospered. Any ideas of what I should do, I want to revive them, he’s like my baby I saw grow from the smallest of leaves when he was given to me. I don’t want him to die off. Please contrast what he was before when I left him to now.

I got this mint plant two weeks ago and I have replanted it twice in miracle grow with proper drainage water regularly, and enough sun. It was originally grown in an aqua garden, so I don’t know if I shocked the plant. It still isn’t coming out of it though. Any ideas?

My lemon tree has stopped growing. All of the leaves have fallen. And the plants growth has just stunted. I believe it was overwatered so I stopped watering it for a few days. And kept it dry. However today I watered it again. I’m not sure what to do to make it grow again. Any ideas on how to make it grow again? It does get direct sun, which was never an issue before but it has been getting around 90 in my area

My white splash polka dot plant needs more light, so I want to put it on my patio. My only concern is heat stress. Highs will be about 95°F for the next 3 days, but will drop into the low 90’s and upper 80’s after that. Should I wait a few days or is it safe to go ahead and put it outside now?

Is this aloe salvageable? How? Got it a few days ago and it was pale and floppy so I put it in the sun and watered (soil was dry at least an inch down). There are no roots attached at this point, totally limp and translucent brown. Leaves are thin. Also some animal took a small nibble of it... I’m in Northern Illinois and this spot gets some sun middle of the day and shade the rest. We’re in a heat wave right now. I don’t have any south facing windows I can put it in.

Help! I brought these long finger succulents home and when I watered them today, ants started flooding out with these white things. I can’t tell if they’ve made a hill in the pot. We’ve always had an ant problem so I know they’re our ants, but what are they holding and how can I get them out of my succulents? Clearly you can see, the plants not very happy in its new home 😭

My friend gifted me a lucky bamboo. She’s really tiny and it appears her little pot is filled with little pebbles, and no drainage. So I guess she’s living in water. I watered her the other day but ever since he gave her to me, she’s been wrinkled with these discoloration spots. She also had yellow leaves which I read I should remove, so I did. Is there anything I can do for my new baby?
