So Yoshi was doing well and growing new little leaves, but then I found thrips on it šŸ˜– so I gave it a rinse and sprayed with insecticidal soap. I’ve always used insecticidal soap on my plants when they have pests, and I’ve never had an issue. The thrips seemed gone so I sprayed Yoshi with neem oil to keep bugs off (which I’ve also done with other plants and again never had an issue). But Yoshi doesn’t seem to be taking to this care routine well šŸ˜ž I’ll have to check the roots and see if there’s any damage there, but does anyone know if these plants are more sensitive to care routines? Is this plant worth saving? I just bottom watered today because the soil was dry. But the soil also seemed a bit different, not grainy, but more sponge-like. I don’t know if repotting it into fresher soil might liven it up

Hello. I have noticed that as my Tradescantia 'Sweetness' has grown the leaves closet to the soil have shrivelled up and died off - is this normal? The outter leaves all look relatively ok with some browning. It sits on a north face window sill that does not receive any direct sunlight but is fairly light. Any ideas??? Thank you 😊

Is there any hope of this guy reviving? I got him maybe a year ago, only the one stem and leaf. I just noticed a little bit of root sticking out the bottom of the pot. Maybe it needs a repot? It’s been a while. But would repot save the plant? Or once a plant is yellow (looks like this) is it done and no hope?

Ants!! Is there a way to get rid of them without hurting the lizards, toads, and spiders that eat them? With the recent waves of rain, the ants moved to our outdoor potted plants and don’t want to leave. Most plants are succulents, cactuses, or flowers but we also have herbs and peppers.

I recently received this monstera as a gift. After it was purchased, it started to develop these black marks on the leaves and some patches of the stems. I thought about re-poting it so that I can see what conditions the roots are in but I don't want to put it under too much stress as it was only recently moved into my flat. Unsure what the best approach is or what the problem could be.

What are the holes in the leaves from? Even the new leaves are getting them. I just got this philodendron a couple weeks ago, sprayed Captain Jacks on the leaves and cleaned them, recently repotted and watered in systemic granules. The sticky trap in the plant has no gnats on it and after inspecting the leaves i see no visible pests. What do i do?!?

This plant went from thriving to slowly dying a few weeks ago. Not sure exactly what it is or how to prevent losing the plant

Has anyone had problems with sneezes and English Ivy? I bought this one to absorb mold from my bedroom but I feel that ever since it entered my house I can’t stop sneezing. Also at the same time I put two Boston ferns in the bathroom. Would like to know if it’s just a coincidence or if they are actually giving me allergies. Thanks in advance! šŸ€

So a couple weeks ago the edge of this plant started to go brown and crunchy even though I changed nothings in its routine that’s kept it going great for the past year and now it’s gotten way worse and I can’t figure what’s up. This has happened a few times but after like a week or two it always gets better, except now in the past few days the smaller leaf shriveled up and now the new that’s just starting to grow is dying aswell Also do you think the tagged plant is correct

Bought these babies off Facebook marketplace and since day 1, they’ve had this browning/yellowing of the leaves. Any suggestions on how to save them? Soil is super wet still and there’s not roots coming out of these yet.

I’ve never had one of these before and she isn’t happy with me. I just repotted her about a week ago and I’ve watered and let sit, in direct sun and in my grow light humid bathroom. I don’t wanna lose her 🄲 what do I do

Hi everyone, I repotted this spider plant from spiderettes(?) a few days ago and now it’s looking a bit sad. The leaves are slightly wilting, are softer than they were and are duller. I’d almost say they look slightly translucent. I carefully pulled up two of the plants and it appears they’ve begun to develop a root stem, but I’m not sure what is happening and if I need to be concerned. Wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be and how to fix it. Thanks!
