This plant did not have this last week. Is this an infestation?

My Alocasia nebula was getting all weird. The leaves have curled, but the surface of the leaves are normal. The stems are drooped down, but the structure of the stem is strong. Essentially, it looks like it’s short on water. Since I’m tight on my scheduled watering and frequently finger-checking the soil, being short on water made no sense. Based on this, I suspected that its root ball must be pretty small and unable to take up water fast enough to maintain the plant. I pulled the plant out and viola!
barely any roots. With so little roots, reviving can be tough. I could cut off two leaves and hope the roots will keep up with the one remaining leaf. But what if the remaining leaf was already chosen by the plant to be sacrificed and its fate just wasn’t visible yet? In that scenario, I would have cut off the two good leaves only to have the last leaf die off. Instead, I have decided to keep all three leaves and go with a deep water culture. Now it will have access to water 24/7. I’ve added food to the water to get things jump started, and an air stone to get oxygen into the water for the roots, which will help significantly with keeping the roots healthy and white. Now I wait. One thing is for sure; this will either work or it will not. 😜

Got this Regal Shield plant yesterday and it already had this drooping leaf. The owner of the shop told me to just cut it off and it’ll grow back stronger. I have done some research and know that some leaves will start drooping to make way for new growth, so I wanted to ask the community if chopping the leaf is the right thing to do!!

How much should I cut these leaves and should I wait sometime to cut after I water her? After 1 week of trip and this happened
Since I put in small pot and root were outside of the soil, I repoted it yesterday. Trying to observe it after I repoted and watered, but not sure about which to cut for saving her. Leaves on a bottom is dried but still green, but some on a top is dried and yellow.

Anyone have any advice about what to do for my Monstera Deliciosa’s leaves? They’re slowly turning brown and wilted on the edges. I water once a week, maybe longer in between if the soil is still moist. I pictured the window it’s sitting next to. I’m not sure what to do for her and would love some advice if anyone has it! :)

Just picked up my first monstera from Facebook marketplace and I get it in two weeks
my parents are caring for it until I get there and I think they’re killing it 😭😭😭 what’s the best care to help save it for two weeks? I think they’ve overwatered it and might be too close to a window? Sun sets in this window and they said the leaves are starting to curl
 they’ve had it two days
I need help before they kill it!!

My Tineke started dropping its bottom leaves
2 today. Using a grow light about 2 ft away. Is it too far? Should I move the plant to a window? I only have west facing windows in my apartment.

I hope this is allowed but I have more data regarding my poor pink symphony Caladium- I went back to the nursery and ALL of the Caladiums had the beginning stages of the same issue. I wonder if it is a fungus or our zone just sucks for them. They’ve been moved indoors where there is no natural light. I’ve always wondered how stores are able to do that.

Anyone know what this fuzzy white stuff is? These are the roots of a long pothos vine I’ve been keeping in water. They appeared recently.

Hey all, My monstera has been having droopy leaves for a while now yet still gives new leaves. Just looking for some help. It’s in a part sun—>sun environment but was previously in a part sun—>pretty shady environment. (Side note it’s not just a daily thing such as it hasn’t been watered yet.)

Hello! This is the third lettuce I’ve regrown and it’s dying, none of the ones I’ve regrown have survived, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I water it 2 days a week. My supposition is because of the weather, it’s hot and humid, I don’t know if they should be indoors in a cooler place or if I should regrow them just in water and not in soil Pls help đŸ„ČđŸ„Č

Hi there, I hope someone can help me. I had this Red Nerve plant for 3 years. It was doing great! Planta app said to repot it and apparently it didn’t like that. I repotted it a year ago and I been trying to bring it back since. Any ideas?

I posted on here a while ago trying to identify this plant, and I believe it’s a mother of thousands/devil’s backbone. Since I’ve had it, the leaves have turned more red and it seems like it’s kind of hibernating? It looks like there are small sprouts on the inside of the “curled” up leaves, but it looks nowhere near as healthy as it did a couple months ago. The leaves are still firm, not hard/crunchy or mushy though. The photo with the red background is when I originally got it. The rest are its condition now. I definitely don’t have a natural green thumb so any advice is much appreciated!!

I just can’t anymore. I’m losing my mind. I’ve talked to four “plant experts” including people from Dr Planta— My caladium has brown spots. It has brown spots on new growth, old growth, green growth, pink growth. The spots are growing, and becoming crispy. I can hardly believe it’s sunburn considering how soft the light is where she’s at. Roots are gorgeous, she’s watered appropriately, she has a pebble tray, no pests, indirect soft light. I’ve tried neem for fungus, it seems to have made it worse She has cosmocote, orchard bark, potting mix and perlite. Please please help. I’m going away for two weeks and I know she’s going to be dead when I get back if I don’t figure this out 😭
