Just picked up my first monstera from Facebook marketplace and I get it in two weeks… my parents are caring for it until I get there and I think they’re killing it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ what’s the best care to help save it for two weeks? I think they’ve overwatered it and might be too close to a window? Sun sets in this window and they said the leaves are starting to curl… they’ve had it two days… I need help before they kill it!!
You should just ask them to move it to a spot with no direct sun and preferably no drafts and leave it alone until you get there. Tell them to stop caring for it. It will do just fine until you get there unless they kill it with too much love and water. Also make sure they remove any standing water it’s sitting in.
3 Likes Also, it could already be sick before they got it. I bought a giant raphidophora Decursiva and brought it home and it just kept dying a little every day. When I decided to take it out of the pot to investigate after about a week, all the roots were rotted and it was beyond recovery. Not everyone who sells plants is scrupulous. 🤔
