Whatâs going on with my pothos?? đ§
Iâve recently moved house and in the messiness of life, some of my plants have paid the price. My tradescantia nanouk is one of these. It was left in a dark space near a radiator (I know đ€Šđ») and lost all its colour and started to go crispy. Iâve repositioned it in the loft room under a skylight, hoping that the light will be better - itâs been a few weeks and itâs looking a bit healthier but the colour hasnât returned on new leaves. Any advice on how I can help it recover? Or should I trim it back to the coloured bits and start again?
Hey guys I watered this dragon fruit cactus two weeks ago and it instantly got brown limp and mushy. I got it semi-abused so to speak but Iâve given it dryyyyyy soil and bright sun and it just keeps declining. It might look okay but itâs mushy, brown, stems breaking and leaking water and they wonât stay up straight. Help!
Does anyone know how to save my cactus , itâs unseasonably cold in Austin Tx!
I need help with my ZZ! Over the past 4-5 months Iâve lost many of her smaller stems. I water every 3-4 weeks and she gets lots of light through a west facing bathroom window. I repotted from an 8 to a 10 inch pot a couple month ago because I thought she was too cramped. Roots looked good to me. Now another stem just turned yellow and I see yellowing starting on leaves on even another stem. BUT there is new growth for the first time in forever (3 new stems coming). Whatâs happening?? Also- whatâs the best way to remove the stem once the leaves fall?
Got any tips for taking care of indoor spiderplants over the winter? I've been having trouble.
Help! How do I treat mealybugs on African violets?
Hey planty peeps! Kinda new to this app and I tried out the dr program on here but Iâm just curious if this app will remind me to check on my rehab plants or how I should go about making sure I remember everything Iâve done with the plant?
Ugh! My corn plant has some kind of pest. I do not see anything moving, all of the tips are brown, thereâs white eggs everywhere but I donât see anything. Iâm not sure if theyâre spider mites or gnat eggs. Please help!
Iâm fighting the second battle in a protracted war with orange aphids. They appeared again at three weeks. I used insecticidal soap after knocking most of them off with a garden hose the first time. I used ant spray this time paying attention to applying it under the leaves where some were hiding. This is the only plant with aphids. This Hoya Multiflora lives up to its name by continually putting out flowers. There are several peduncles in bloom. New growth is very attractive to aphids.
Hi everyone! Can anyone help me with my Philodendron âGreen Emeraldâ? I brought her from Montana and was green and full of leaves (6 months ago). She use to get filtered sunlight in my home (about 4 hours a day and in window) but was starting to get yellow leaves. I moved her under a grow light (12 hours a day) but just kept getting worse. I watered with hydrogen peroxide to make sure the roots arenât rotting. But Iâm not sure what else to do. Any thoughts? Thanks!
My satin pothosâ leaves are turning yellow, curling, and dropping. Her vines have grown super long but no new leaves. Worried about her, and sheâs over two years old. I repotted her last month, has drainage, not sure what kind of sun she needs, Iâve read a lot of mixed sunlight recs, some say shady others say their pothos love direct sunlight. Please help me!!! xoxo Katie
Hi! Iâm new to this app, looking for other houseplant nerds like me, but ones who actually know what theyâre doing haha. I have had this monstera fern for over four years now, she used to grow fast, healthy, new leaves, but now she has stopped any new growth and has started to yellow and brown at tips. Iâve had to cut off several completely yellow leaves too. I repotted her over the past month to a larger ceramic pot with drainage, she had no root rot when I repotted but I was surprised by the small size of the root mass (for four years I was thinking itâd be a lot larger). I have her facing an east window, but Iâm worried this is too much sun. Please Let me know what I can do to save her and help her, sheâs my baby. My best friend in highschool gave her to me so sheâs very importantđđ±đ©· Thank you soooo much!!! xoxo Katie
Hi guys!! I have a lipstick plant that was doing really well, but I noticed that the new leaves growing on them have these really weird yellow spots on them. It's not on any of the older leaves - just the new ones! I was scared it might be thrips or other pests but I did multiple, very thorough checks and there are no pests anywhere, including on my other plants. I switched to bottom watering recently because I wondered if maybe it was being underwatered? Otherwise I have no clue what to do about this or if it means the plant is unhappy :( any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
I have this beautiful raindrop peperomia that has grown so much since I got it last April. Recently itâs been pretty moody. The leaves are going soft and growth has stopped. I repotted it and moved it to a brighter location, and it went back to normal for a week or so. Now leaves are getting soft again, and Iâm not sure what the issue is. Please help this is one of my fav plant babies!!!
I donât know why i cant keep my oxalis healthy
My plant is growing wayyy to long, what do I do? Is there a way of cutting it and putting it back into the soil?
PLEASE HELP! My string of dolphins has had leaves and some branches starting to dry and rot. The app hadnât marked it yet for watering, but since the soil was so dry, I decided to water it, itâs now been three days and not looking much better. Iâm afraid if itâs root rot somehow, or if I just need to give it more time to recover from a drought. Any insight or advice on which may be the case would be greatly appreciated!!
Is this pests or sunburn? I just got myself this plant from a nursery over the weekend and picked it because it has new growth on it! In the nursery I didnât notice how bad it looks cosmetically. Now thatâs its home I have been meticulously inspecting it trying to see if itâs pests? If it is I havenât found any myself, the leaves are also a bit dirty because my kid recently knocked this plant over. If you see any indicators of pests please let me know maybe it will help me to know what to look for next time
