Does this look like damping off? my dill sprout started tipping over today so i checked out the roots and this is how it looks, is there any saving this?
My pepper plants have a little black on the stem âpitâ like where the branch out meets the main stem. Any thoughts on why?
Hi everyone! Any thoughts on whether this guy is salvageable? If so, how? I had this plants for a few years and itâs just slowly died of root rot (I just joined Planta and learned about root rot). Anyway I tried water therapy, which did nothing. Then I let him dry out for a few days. Next repotted him in a succulent mixture and that went ok. Then I bottom watered him and he started turning yellow :( Is it time to send him to succulent heaven?
Lost almost all of a beautiful Frydek to spider mites a few weeks ago and had to do a radical cut back, scrubbed top and bottom of the leaves, treated the roots and moved it to leca. He looks like a shell of himself đ« but I checked on him this morning ( heâs in isolation still) and dare I say I see NEW GROWTH!! I will have to cut back a couple more tiny leaves I hoped would survive but have clearly gone on to a plant place in the sky. Just excited to see there is hope and so far no other babies seem to have been infested. đ€đŸ
Hi guys! Very very very new plant parent here. Lots to learn and feeling occasionally overwhelmed. But this calathea has been just doing miserably since coming home. Iâve been lightly and slowly changing his conditions to see if he wants to positively respond to the changes, but heâs just getting worse and worse. Is it a lost cause, or is there something I am missing with this guy to help revive him?
One of my spider plants is mush lighter color than the others (see on right and then the color of plant on left for comparison). Is this an issue?
Hey there! New to this app and the plant world in general. Iâm pretty good with outdoor plants but indoor⊠yikes! I inherited my parents fig. Itâs a beautiful plant and Iâve had it for a few months. A few of the leaves have some brown tips on them, but Iâm mostly concerned with the leaning. I had to repot it a few days ago because it outgrew the other. But it was leaning prior to that. This plant has to live!! Any and all advice welcome! Itâs next to a west facing window. Probably the best spot I have for it in my house.
Can anyone tell me what this orange spot is? Itâs in two of my black velvet leaves, I could couldnât find evidence of any pests and it mainly shows in the front of the leaves. My best guess is sunburn but Iâm not entirely sure as Iâve never seen it before.
Not sure whatâs wrong? I watered it two days ago because I hadnât in a while, but itâs still looking droopy. I have a west facing window, so maybe itâs not getting enough sun? Any advice?
Help! What do I do?
this is my coleus i think and its struggling ive done everything but i cant seem to get it right
For the two that have dark spots, are they ok or should I cut them off? đ«€
My natel ivy and English ivy seem to have gnats living in the soil does anyone know a safe way to get rid of the effectively without harming the plants?
is this reverseable? it started going yellow the other day and Iâm not sure why I havenât changed anything lately and the soil wasnât wet. Itâs still kind of hard like it has structure, but itâs yellow. I have it in water right now
Hi! My peacock plant is full of holes and her soil isnât drying out anymore. I bought her as one of my first ever house plants about a year ago from Home Depot. She had holes in a few leaves but all other leaves since then have been fine. I recently went premium with Planta and it told me I should be wiping down her leaves. Since doing that about two weeks ago, suddenly most of her leaves have holes. I THINK what might be happening is Leaf Spots, and I spread it when I wiped her down? There are no signs of slugs, snails, or any other critters. Itâs just the brown spots and holes. I picked up some physan 20 after doing some research and plan to treat her leaves with a diluted solution according to the package instructions. I think sheâs also in a pot that is too big with soil that retains too much water and not getting enough light?? To avoid a resurgence of the Leaf Spots, I was thinking Iâd repot her into a smaller pot, check her root health, and give her a more aerated soil mixture Iâve been using with other plants. Also, I bought a grow light to dedicate to her that should be here in a few days. Am I on the right track? Is this too much for the poor gal? All help is appreciated!
I got this piper parmatum on clearance about a week ago, I cleaned the soil off, pruned the dead leaves, treated with pesticide, and placed the roots in water with a little bit of super thrive. I need help, though I havenât seen any sort of improvement what should my next steps be?
I just got my plant and this one leaf is turning yellow. I just got it a few days ago and it was fine. All I did was water it and repot it today. Iâm not sure whatâs going on if this is gonna die and then the whole plant will die. Please help!!
I have a 2 magnolia bushes maybe 6 ft apart from each other. One has already bloomed (second picture) and the other barely has any leaves (first picture). Third picture is of the very few leaves that it does have. Any ideas on what could be wrong with it or advice for bringing back to life?
new to having plants, and im not sure if this is a "me" problem or my plant problem. i just repotted my swiss cheese monstera because of mold in the dirt. but after 3 days, the dirt started growing mold again. its in the sun to dry up the dirt after watering (not in the picture), and im not overwatering. any suggestions?
