Lost almost all of a beautiful Frydek to spider mites a few weeks ago and had to do a radical cut back, scrubbed top and bottom of the leaves, treated the roots and moved it to leca. He looks like a shell of himself 😫 but I checked on him this morning ( he’s in isolation still) and dare I say I see NEW GROWTH!! I will have to cut back a couple more tiny leaves I hoped would survive but have clearly gone on to a plant place in the sky. Just excited to see there is hope and so far no other babies seem to have been infested. 🤞🏾

Hi guys! Very very very new plant parent here. Lots to learn and feeling occasionally overwhelmed. But this calathea has been just doing miserably since coming home. I’ve been lightly and slowly changing his conditions to see if he wants to positively respond to the changes, but he’s just getting worse and worse. Is it a lost cause, or is there something I am missing with this guy to help revive him?

One of my spider plants is mush lighter color than the others (see on right and then the color of plant on left for comparison). Is this an issue?

Hey there! New to this app and the plant world in general. I’m pretty good with outdoor plants but indoor… yikes! I inherited my parents fig. It’s a beautiful plant and I’ve had it for a few months. A few of the leaves have some brown tips on them, but I’m mostly concerned with the leaning. I had to repot it a few days ago because it outgrew the other. But it was leaning prior to that. This plant has to live!! Any and all advice welcome! It’s next to a west facing window. Probably the best spot I have for it in my house.

Can anyone tell me what this orange spot is? It’s in two of my black velvet leaves, I could couldn’t find evidence of any pests and it mainly shows in the front of the leaves. My best guess is sunburn but I’m not entirely sure as I’ve never seen it before.

Not sure what’s wrong? I watered it two days ago because I hadn’t in a while, but it’s still looking droopy. I have a west facing window, so maybe it’s not getting enough sun? Any advice?

is this reverseable? it started going yellow the other day and I’m not sure why I haven’t changed anything lately and the soil wasn’t wet. It’s still kind of hard like it has structure, but it’s yellow. I have it in water right now

Hi! My peacock plant is full of holes and her soil isn’t drying out anymore. I bought her as one of my first ever house plants about a year ago from Home Depot. She had holes in a few leaves but all other leaves since then have been fine. I recently went premium with Planta and it told me I should be wiping down her leaves. Since doing that about two weeks ago, suddenly most of her leaves have holes. I THINK what might be happening is Leaf Spots, and I spread it when I wiped her down? There are no signs of slugs, snails, or any other critters. It’s just the brown spots and holes. I picked up some physan 20 after doing some research and plan to treat her leaves with a diluted solution according to the package instructions. I think she’s also in a pot that is too big with soil that retains too much water and not getting enough light?? To avoid a resurgence of the Leaf Spots, I was thinking I’d repot her into a smaller pot, check her root health, and give her a more aerated soil mixture I’ve been using with other plants. Also, I bought a grow light to dedicate to her that should be here in a few days. Am I on the right track? Is this too much for the poor gal? All help is appreciated!

I got this piper parmatum on clearance about a week ago, I cleaned the soil off, pruned the dead leaves, treated with pesticide, and placed the roots in water with a little bit of super thrive. I need help, though I haven’t seen any sort of improvement what should my next steps be?

I just got my plant and this one leaf is turning yellow. I just got it a few days ago and it was fine. All I did was water it and repot it today. I’m not sure what’s going on if this is gonna die and then the whole plant will die. Please help!!

I have a 2 magnolia bushes maybe 6 ft apart from each other. One has already bloomed (second picture) and the other barely has any leaves (first picture). Third picture is of the very few leaves that it does have. Any ideas on what could be wrong with it or advice for bringing back to life?

My caladium white fusion isn’t doing so great, her leaves kept drooping and yellowing so I clipped all of those and this is what’s left. Any care tips? I’m gonna put her back in a clear nursery pot this weekend so I can keep on eye on her roots

So my umbrella plant looks sick. Don’t know what’s ailing it. Not sure how to treat it. Was thinking of taking alcohol and a q-tip and rubbing the “lesions” to see if I could get rid of them. Any advise?

Hi! I'm super new to plants, so I'm still learning. But what is wrong with my money tree? I've only had it about 2/3 weeks, I water it about once a week, and I've only used a 3 in 1 neem oil spray on it when I brought it home.

Can someone help me figure out what’s going on with this plant? The leaves won’t unfurl and now the stalk is discolored, I am not sure what to do. I know it’s a more difficult plant but I’m a new plant mom and I would like to keep it alive as it was a gift
