Just picked up my mom’s abandoned Peace Lily and she is not looking too good. Does anybody know what may be wrong? I am only a beginner 😬
I took some hoyas out to harden off and get used to being outside. I left them in direct morning sun too long and they got sunburned! The Dragons Tail got sun burned last month. It has been outside for months. It got moved into direct sun accidentally during cleaning. 😩 The others are Hoya Globulosa and a Hoya NOID (from West Kalimantan, Indonesia). NOID means No identification. No designer label.
I just picked up my plants from my friend who was babysitting them while I was away for a year. Not sure what happened with my ZZ plant – lack of water, maybe? Is it possible to nurture her back to health? If so, how? Do I cut off all the dried up parts and remove dead foliage? Refresh the soil maybe? Any advice welcome!
Can someone assure me I didn’t kill my Rex begonia 🥲 I decided to put new soil in all my plants and mix in perlite with all of them, it’s been two days and Edgar is very droopy and the stems are very flexible and not sturdy, I know begonias can be temperamental so is he just being sassy and will he return to normal or did I totally F up? Thanks 😅
Anyone know why my pink arrowhead plant is falling over? I just repotted her as she was rootbound and she is planted in tropical soil. I rotate her once a week and she stays in this window. Not sure why she is doing this
I just fertilized her yesterday, and the soil isn’t dry. I’m not sure if it humidity . Does anyone have a guess as to why she’s curled up like this?
Hello! Can anyone give me any insight as to what’s going on with my bird of paradise? So I bought this plant in March 2024 from FB marketplace and it was beautiful, green, and full with many leaves. It’s June 2024 and it has since lost 8 of its leaves (all the lower older leaves that turned dry, hard, brown) and no longer points upward and appears droopy and sparse. The stems also appear to have decreased in volume. I have her near a large south facing window (so bright, indirect) and water once the soil feels more dry 2in down. So about once a week. I mist and clean the leaves.. Haven’t changed the soil or repotted yet since I got her. I also use fertilizer once per month starting in April.
I’ve had this meyer lemon tree for about a month now most of the leaves are falling and it’s not growing, I’ve watered and it’s been getting plenary of sunlight. What am I doing wrong?
whats this!?
Help 😩 First off, every alocasia I get will only grow 2 or 3 leaves and when a new one grows, the old leaf dies. I know this can be common, but I see these beautiful alocasias all over and mine are just wimpy 🥺 Secondly, this alocasia has recently put out two new leaves, but when they unfurled, they had mealies in them - about 4 or 5. I treated both times and there aren’t any mealies or signs of them on the rest of the plant, only on the new leaves that unfurl. Any suggestions?
Plumeria tree leaves turning brown- I just brought inside from my balcony, I’m wondering if it’s from the sun? It’s a really hot week with 90+ temperatures so I’m wondering if it’s sunburn and how I can help?
First ever pest problem! Help! Found these guys tucked behind a leaf on my potted begonia props, didn’t even give them a chance, leaf was cut off and binned straight away and rest of the plant doused with a neem mix. Have also been put in a different room. Any ideas what they are and what I should do going forward?
My polka dot plant was doing really well then all of a sudden the tips of the leaves started turning brown. The newer leaves seem to be ok and are still growing. What's wrong and what should I do?
What’s going on with my lavender? I have 6 of them, they were thriving for about 6 weeks, now all of a sudden they’re turning black and getting droopy. As you can see, the violas in the same planter are doing great so I don’t think it’s pest-related. The ones looking the worst seem to get the least water, but they all get watered everyday. Am I overwatering/underwatering? Are they maybe root bound? Do I need fertilizer? This is my first year growing lavender so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here.
Recently, when I water my pothos, the water comes out the drainage a bit brown. Is this something I need to be worried about?
Hi Planta friends! My bf got this ficus triangularis on April 14 and in the past 2-3 weeks it’s dropped all its leaves. The leaves turned slightly yellow before dropping. He only waters it when the soil dries out a bit and it drains well. Can we still do something to save it or should we just let it RIP? Pics are from April 14 with leaves and today (June 17) no leaves. 🥺😫
Any thoughts on why this stem of my Umbrella Tree is turning black? It started kind of in the middle of the stem and has progressed mostly upwards and a bit downwards. Now it is extending to the stem of the one leaf set.
Help! As some of you may know I cut bad leaves off my plant a few days ago, now the stems of the leaves I cut off have fallen, and everything else is starting to fall too! One day, it’s very healthy growth coming from everywhere, I cut off the bad leaves, and now everything is going wrong!
Am I giving buttercup too much or too little water I really don’t know
Hey guys I was just wondering if underneath the leaves should be purple. I am new to snapdragons so please help me.
