Hi Planta friends! My bf got this ficus triangularis on April 14 and in the past 2-3 weeks it’s dropped all its leaves. The leaves turned slightly yellow before dropping. He only waters it when the soil dries out a bit and it drains well. Can we still do something to save it or should we just let it RIP? Pics are from April 14 with leaves and today (June 17) no leaves. 🥺😫

Ficus trees are finicky. They seem to be sensitive to several things including inconsistent watering, hard water, and insufficient light. They also hate being moved. Dropping leaves is common for ficus trees. I have no luck with any of the varieties. Try using distilled or rainwater. Don’t move it to a new location if it was doing fine in April/May at the current location. Good luck.🍀 🪴
