Friendly reminder to check your money tree trunks for rubber bands. I just lost an entire stem & had to repot because of a single band š«
does anyone know what this spot on my african violet is? the plant overall is super happy and producing new buds, so i'm assuming it's a water spot but i'm not sure
Hello! Iām new to planta and i have a question/ concern about my monstera thai constellation that i recently purchased. I bought it about a week ago and it came with a couple brown spots and a tiny bit of yellowing on one of the smaller leaves, iām a little worried about it because i heard these plants are notorious for root rot. Does anyone have any tips on what to do or how to fix it? Or any recommendations for taking care of it? Iām using a chunky aroid mix and itās in a clear pot with drainage holes, i checked up on the roots and they seem to be doing really well, except for one little root that was rotted, i chopped it off and now every other root is healthy.
Left the plant (Gloria) with my fiancĆ©eās mother because she offered to repot it while I was at work. I came by a few days later and the plant was on the ground and was in the condition pictures below. Previously the plant was rooted in essentially a straight line, now thereās a massive gap through the middle with what looks like exposed roots. Just wondering what may have happened and if itās possible to remedy the problem.
Hereās my moms snake plant she forgot about for about a year. It has some white spots on it, Iām unsure of what it could be, I also noticed some leaves curling as well.
I have a Monstera Deliciosa and it has 4 leaves total. One leaf is curling and the tips are browning. The smallest leaf is yellowing. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thank you.
Does anyone have experience with the Peperomia Grey Luna (Caperata)? I want to believe itās happy and healthy, it has almost doubled in size. But the stamen? Antennae? Have grown extremely long, one is 5 inches long and it kind of freaks me out. I didnāt know I was going to have to deal with tentacles. If a plant were an alien. It has never gone so dry it begins to limp. And it has grows lights with a slight shade cover for at least 16 hours a day.
Some weird things have been happening with my anthurium, please help! 1. Some of the leaves have started to have little discolored dots on them with brown pinpricks in the middle. 2. Some of the leaves have little lines on them with a bit of a white scaly texture in them, and on some of the leaves the lines have opened up ā either slightly or completely. 3. One of the leaves has a weird ābite markā on it. Iāll add picture in order:
Why are the ends doing this
My Hoya Carnosa came down with Mealy Bugs š thankfully DIDNT see it on any other plants. Will start treating
Ok tell me about tiny little white bugs! I am new-ish to the houseplant world and I have 2 different plants that have these tiny little seemingly-white bugs in the soil. Theyāre easy to miss, and seem to move when I water them or poke at the soil. Iāve seen a couple jump. Hard to get a clear photo. Also the plants donāt show any signs of damage at all. Iāve done some googling but would love insights. Thanks!
Hey does anyone know what kind of pest this is? Itās on a lily that my friend owns.
I checked my birkin this morning and the leaf broke š It hasnāt been like this for long. Does anyone know why itās like this?
Is this early thrips? Noticed my ivy has a couple deformed leaves, one looks chewed. Iāve had this guy for a couple weeks. I did notice one pest actually moving under a leaf. My eyes arenāt the best right now but it didnāt look long and thin like thrips. Nothing else moved, no other plants are seemingly affected. Thoughts?
Iām not sure what is wrong with this guy, heās on a regular watering schedule and is not in direct sunlight. Any ideas?
My rex begonia was doing so well and all a sudden all the leaves diedā¦besides oneš„²š Anyone know why this happened? Have any recommendations for me?
So, my orchid has wrinkly leafs and I donāt know what Iām doing wrong. Any advice?
Good morning smart people! Anyone know what to do about a Phalanopsis spike curling back into the stem?
My birds nest fern had dry, crispy ends to itās leaves. I keep the soil moist and mist regularly. Is there something that could be causing this that I should treat or it is just my cats biting the leaves?
