Hi all. I suspect Iâm losing a plant, so Iâm looking for some confirmation, any tips, & sympathy. đ„ș This flaming Katy (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) was part of an arrangement at my moms funeral last April. Iâve struggled with it the entire time. It seemed I couldnât find a site it liked. Then aphids. Then water was going through it super fast, so I tried bottom watering & think Iâve now given it root rot. Oneâs a dry stick. The othersâ leaves are falling off & oneâs stem is turning black. I want it to live for sentimental reasons, but is it too late? Can I take clippings & propagate it? I feel terrible for not being able to make it happy. đą
Not sure what happened but my house did get very cold. I am very upset because my plant had so much new growth recently and I just moved 5 months ago and it was adjusting so well here. Anyone know why this happened? Thank you in advance!
I have a succulent that has white stuff growing on it and the leaves are dying quickly. What is it and what should I do? Any help would be great. đ
I recently got a red sister plant that was in perfect condition! I canât figure out what Iâm doing wrong, but 90% of the bottom leaves turned light (almost white) and kinda yellowish. I removed those leavesâŠ.. but Iâm not sure how to prevent it from getting even worse. Iâve been watering per plantas schedule, and I have it close to a window since where I bought it from was in direct sunlight too. Theres a picture of how she looks now and how she looked when I first bought it! Thank you for any help.
My leaves are turning yellow what should I do? Any help would be great đ
hi everyone! so iâve been super busy with work and school and i forgot to move my monstera inside đ itâs been really cold the last few days and iâm guessing the plant was shocked by the cold. Didnât know if anyone had input if it would bounce back, hopefully!?
Hi all! Why is this new leaf yellow? Plant seems happy otherwise!
Ohhhhhh boy This is my money tree (Kendrick Lamar). I got him a week from today . I noticed black dots early on, google said it could be from to little sunlight. Anywho I feel like they are spreading and my leaves keep falling off (1-2 a day). Could it be pests, fungus, or what. Iâve checked the plant and havenât seen bugs. Itâs also been around other plants .Help pls
What causes black dots like this?

New leaf Issue (Calathea Beauty Star): I have a new leaf growing in on my Calathea Beauty Star that has some odd damage on the tip. No signs of pests or disease that I see. Previously, in early October I had washed the leaves (one time) with a water/alcohol/soap solution and then spots appeared on the leaves, I think caused by sun damage + alcohol left by the spray. I am unsure if this is related to this, but the new leaf would not have been sprayed. Any ideas what could be the cause? Maybe just mechanical damage?
Went on a one week vacation and when I returned 3 of the leaves if my monsters are browning at the edges, is this a sign of thirps? Or another pest?
Hi friends, my hanging monstera is yellowing on the leaves đ„ș Iâm assuming this isnât good, what can I do?? I havenât repot it in probably two years, itâs hanging near a window. This happened quickly
Just a little bit of a warning. I was watching one of my favorite plant guys on YouTube. Canât remember which one. But they said they were using a mix of compost, cocoa coir and perlite as their new potting medium. I tried it. None of the plants I used it on liked it. Lost a few. Iâve gone back to my basic potting soil with additional perlite, amount depending on the plant. Sigh. Probably should stop experimenting. Lol. đ€ŠđŒââïž
Help. My gloriosum be acting up. What am I doing wrong? Havenât watered her in 2 weeks, in a room 10 ft from a south facing bay window. Recommendations please đ
Iâm in fungus gnat hell - so frustrated and about ready to cry or toss out my plants or both! I have a collection of about 50 plants - about which 13 have an ongoing infestation of various severities since the past 2 months. Every plants has a sticky stix and I check them daily to do a âtrapâ count. I have tried combinations of quarantines, top and bottom watering with BTi tea (have used for about 4-5 weeks now), hydrogen peroxide flushes, repotting, diamateous earth, cinnamon, closing up the bottom holes with coffee filters and elastics, apple cider vinegar traps, and drying out the plants as much as I can before theyâre sad. I donât see a big reduction in gnats; theyâre still around when I poke at the soil. I looked at one of the peace lilies that I did a hydrogen peroxide flush on LAST NIGHT and now there are at least 4 new gnats caught in the sticky stix trap. ***Do both BTi and a hydrogen peroxide flush render the soil inhospitable for as long as the soil is wet or do the effects wear off the next day? I donât understand why there are new gnats on this plant. Am I causing a problem because now I have a really nice moist plant available to the gnats again? ***How long does it take to eradicate this pest using BTi tea?? Is there any hope for me?
Hellllp I got my Alocasia (Dracula) about three days ago and Iâm starting to notice that the flowers that are supposed to be blooming are starting to burn. Today was the first day I put her into a sunny spot in my living room. She only got about three hours of sun, because I didnât want to overwhelm her. And now thereâs a scab on her leaf. Also, Iâve heard a lot about cutting off the flowers , is that something you think I should do. This is also my first time having a plant like this.
