I am extremely new to plants. A couple of days ago I bought some plants and did not check for pests beforehand. How f**ked am I? Are these definitely spider mites?

Help! Mealy bugs are on my Hoyas. So far Iâve used neem oil and water, dish soap, & rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and I just keep finding them. Any recommendations?

I feel insane rn I found thrips on a new plant I got (from a âpest-freeâ plant swap :) ) they were cuttings of a philodendron red emerald, found 20 yellow larvae and a discord group confirmed were thrips. Cut all of the cuttings and put them in a closed jar and sprayed the other two plants I was quarantining in the same room. Ive dealt with thrips before so I know the drillâ I didnât see much damage on the plants and donât see any concerning things on any of the other plants, no spots or yellowing JUST saw the larvae. Obviously im keeping them in the quarantine space for longer now, but what do you guys think as a prognosis? Also what stage of life are these guys in? Iâve had these plants for two weeks. Im hoping this was isolated and I saved my ass from another nightmare.

What are these brown spots? I bought this plant and they were already there but I feel like more are popping up? I also found this spot that looks as if it was eaten away (see second photo for reference). Thank you!

Hello! My Chinese money plant has been doing so amazingly ever since I got it a couple months ago, but if you look at one of the bottom leaves in the right picture, it has turned completely yellow and developed brown spots! What does this mean? This plant is always in my bedroom window and hasnât seemed to have a problem, but is it too much sun? Should I remove the leaf? The soil seems to have some discoloration. There are NO pests of any kind, I make sure to water it whenever the top couple inches of soil is dry. The other left picture is the full plant, other leaves for comparison. Thank you!

Hi! I have a string of pearls plant, I watered it about 2 maybe 3 weeks ago, and itâs started looking like this ? Not sure why as it hadnât been watered before. Some of the pearls have gone squishy and really gross. Help please đ

Update on the the Cordyline⊠this worm thing came out of if⊠it looks like a centipede? Could this be whats causing the leafs to look splotchy? What should I do?? I donât know if theres more either!

Heyy, I go t a majesty palm 3 months ago it was replanted in a big 50 cm planter. It didnât have a drainage at first and we opened it up a few days ago. Ever since we got the plant the branches one by one started getting yellow first then turned brown and crispy. It has already happened to 4 branches so far :(. Donât know what to do. It didnât have any direct sunlight. Only indirect as I was told. And I watered it every week. The thing is I dont know how much water it needs and how often. And WHY the leaves are turning yellow and brown?

I was misting my ZZ Plant last night and all these tiny black bugs started appearing the outside of the pot from nowhere. Iâve had this plant for almost a year and itâs been in this pot and the same soil for months. Iâve never had any issues. I did have gnats flying around my plants during the summer and used sticky traps. I feel these may be babies but Iâm not sure what these are, please help.

Problem: I have 4 hanging plants and none have drainage holes. They are actually all doing well but I have done enough reading to know they should have adequate drainage. If I put a hole in the bottoms, water is going to pour out. I was thinking of putting stones in the bottom to let excess water catch below the medium, but Iâm now reading that is unhelpful. What type of bases are on your hanging pots? Thanks in advance!

Hi plant people, I need some help. I noticed that one of my Calathea has some unwanted visitors. I ended up putting it outside to prevent it from spreading to my other plants but now I donât know what to do with it. Can the leaves be cleaned so I can save the plant? Or do I just cut my loses and toss it so I donât risk it spreading to my other plants? If you know what this is, or how I can remedy the issue I would love some advice.
