when your plants are sick and your treating them for pests, what is your go to plan/place? i have 3 syngoniums I’m isolating for thrips currently away from my collection and am looking for tips, especially bc my house is small
My begonia keeps having holes in the leaves. Any idea what the culprit could be?
Hi! I’m in need of some help/advice. This is my Mexican snowball. It started to get super tall over the course of the last year or so, and now new babies are forming on the spots where leaves originally were on the stem. More and more leaves keep dropping off the top part as more little babies appear on the stem. What is happening? Is there something I am doing wrong? Is that normal growth like a burros tail grows (where it will slowly branch off more and more?)? Any and all information or advice is welcome (heck I might even have the wrong plant species for all I know, I went off Planta’s photo examination)
is this…. savable at all…
I just got this pitcher plant, it’s got some spots and was completely dry when I bought him. I failed miserably with my last one and I really wanna do him good, what can I do to fix this?
Can ANYBODY help me at least with one of these guys, please? Why does the top plant have those spots? Why does the leaf of the bottom left shrivel up like that? Why does the middle look so sad? Like it is so flimsy and clearly looks unhealthy. And why do the leaves of the bottom right have those brown spots and are so droopy? Do they have diseases maybe? I water them accordingly and give them all indirect sun or light from my plant lights.
Help! Do I chop it? Roots are cleaned and look fine. She's never been so rude to me!
Hi guys :) my mom propagated this peace lily for me so it’s always been in water and the roots are turning brown. What’s happening? I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide and cutting off the ends but they just went back to brown at the tips. It’s growing a new leaflet so it’s clearly growing. What do I do?!
Hi I have this pinwheel plant I don’t know what’s wrong with it but most of its leafs have turned pinkish and some have shriveled up what to do?
Alright folk I need so help, my mom got this money tree about two years ago for her birthday and it’s been in our kitchen. It got no direct sunlight, but indirect light every single day and slowly each of the trunks started dying and wrinkling and getting mushy so I’m trying to save it by putting it in water, but I’m curious if anyone knows what’s happening. There were five and now there’s one. I pulled off two of the leaves because they started yellowing at the tips and I panicked because that’s how they’ve all been slowly dying.
Can I trim the browning leaves and leaves that looks like bugs have gotten to? I just bought this plant last Saturday like this.
Hello! New here. I've asked a few other groups but haven't found the answer. Can anyone tell me what these spots are on my philodendron ring of fire and how to get rid of them? It's so beautiful. It is a new plant. The other day I loosened her roots and mixed her soil with some new soil. Thanks in advance!
My otherwise pretty healthy coffee arabica developed this damage overnight, I didn’t see any pests nor did any known damage happen. I don’t have pets or anything; any idea what else it could be? I appreciate the help🙏 The leaves are a bit dusty but I can’t imagine that could cause this… right?
What is growing out of my cilantro? There’s a tall leafy stalk growing out of my cilantro. The leaves look very different on it. Is this the “flowering” that I’m supposed to pinch off?
Bought a grocery store basil. Watered it but didn’t transfer it to a pot yet. Within two days, all the leaves are drooping. It’s on our balcony which gets direct morning light and part shade for rest of day. Transferred it to terracotta pot with new soil today and watered again.
Morning all!! I recently got a Palm from my local Harris Teeter, quarantined it for a week, and decided to repot today. Looking at the bottom, I’m freaked out. There’s webs and several small balls surrounded by the bottom roots and white fuzzy insects crawling at the bottom (don’t think they’re aphids?). How should I approach this? A Neem Oil spray mix? Cutting off some of the roots? Just looking for some guidance of how to deal with this!
This guy isn’t growing much. It is also getting these brown spots. Any help?
Hey guys! I think I’m having some issues with my string of hearts. I got it around 3-4 months ago and I haven’t seen any growth process unlike the process I have seen with my other string plants even though they are in the same conditions. can anyone help me out (I rearranged my room but both plants are hanging near a window and have different pots)
