Morning all!! I recently got a Palm from my local Harris Teeter, quarantined it for a week, and decided to repot today. Looking at the bottom, I’m freaked out. There’s webs and several small balls surrounded by the bottom roots and white fuzzy insects crawling at the bottom (don’t think they’re aphids?). How should I approach this? A Neem Oil spray mix? Cutting off some of the roots? Just looking for some guidance of how to deal with this!

I would return it. This looks like a rescue with several insects to battle and you haven’t taken the pot off as yet. See if they will replace it and carefully check the next one. I would pull off the pot while I’m in the store to check if larvae or soil mealybugs are inside the next one. You can treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap if you want to keep it. Keep it isolated and disinfect hands and tools.
