Why is this stem turning yellow. And what shud I do
I repotted all of my plants a few days ago because I know they were having root problems/ outgrowing their pots the others seem to be doing fine but my arrowhead is not adjusting well to something, and she is really not standing up any suggestions would be appreciated, Iâd be really sad if I lost her
Hi. New to plants. Recently went on a spending spree and got a bunch of plants and this app to help me take care of them. I watered them when I brought them home around 4 days ago, but I believe that may have been overwatering. Do you think this is the case as the tips of the leaves on almost all the plants are turning brown. If so, how do I fix that before it gets worse? Also, what would be the best solution for the gnats that seem to come with the plants lol. Thanks in advance for any answers. Edit: my apartment gets shade, but Iâve been using a grow light on them as well. Could it be not enough light still?
No problems or pests.. hopefully this is the right group to post. Wondering when is the right time to repot this gal? Sheâs a marble queen pothos! Has a good amount of roots coming out of the bottom. Any tips? Should I wait for spring? I want her to grow long & strong.
Hi. Is my dracanea rootbound? Do these roots look healthy!? Im new to plants and no idea how theyâre supposed to look.
does anyone know why the leaves are turning black? after using a grow light it finally started to grow leaves again and they were healthy for a few days but now theyâre turning black⊠help!
Iâve had this golden pothos for a few weeks now ive watered it a couple times. The last time I watered it I measured out .8 cups because I read thatâs the correct amount. Iâve noticed that the new leaves are browning and the one in the 2nd pic hasnât even come out yet and itâs brown. Itâs around 4 ft from the window and I donât get direct sunlight just whatever reflects off the snow or what comes through the window. The last time I watered it was around a week ago and the top soil is dry but I can feel the soil through the drainage holes is slightly damp. Whatâs going on? Am I overwatering? Underwatering? Iâve really wanted one of these plants for a while and I donât want to kill it.
beginner here: i just bought this pothos off of facebook yesterday. this will be the first plant i own other than my succulents. Can someone please further educated me on if something is wrong here. iâve read that yellowing means over watering, the branches seems to have browning and a bark type feel on spots. Also the soil is only filled halfway in the pot in came in and the bottom looks like pebbles of some sort underneath. what do i need to do?
hi! so for some reason my lovely stromanthe has been acting up. i know these plants are a little sensitive and dramatic but iâve always watered her properly, misted her, given her enough light. as of yesterday (see first pic) she is now more droopy and nothing else really changed in her routine. also, the second pic is just from 18 days ago. the only thing i can think of is cold stress- although sheâs literally been near the same window for 5 months so iâm unsure why the cold is affecting her now. anyways, any tips to help revive her or ideas if it could be cold stress or something else. also! where should i cut to try and propagate in case i canât save the whole plant? thanks!đ€đ€
Ok does anyone know what this brown is around the base of my cactus? I tried doing some research to see if it was diseased or if it was corking⊠Iâm not sure.. any suggestions would be much appreciated thank you!!
This has to be the largest infestation of spider mites I have ever seen on a single plant I own! I saw the plant looked a little dusty with yellowing edges. A closer look showed that it was covered with a thin, fine webbing both on the front and on the back of three leaves. It was between the base of the leaf and the stem, as well. It looked like sheer stockings! I took it outside and saturated the leaves and stems will a rubbing alcohol spray solution. The dirty looking fine grit are dead spider mites. The yellowing edges are the aftermath of the colony sucking the sap and chewing into the leaves. I think they got onto the plant the 10 days I had it outside in warm weather. I brought it back in and obviously didnât inspect it carefully enough. None of the other nearby plants appear affected. I started spraying all of them with alcohol to be safe. đ©đđ
Hello, why does it look like the ends of my monstera adansonii leaves are turning yellow? They were fully green and healthy last week. Or am I just being paranoid?
I just saved this plant from a clearance section and was wondering if anyone had any tips on what could be wrong or how to bring it back to health!
So my rubber plant that has been thriving since the start of my plant journey ~3 years ago i repotted and it declined, rapidly, dropped all its leaves and i chopped it because i want to at least try and save some cuttings, but im really unsure if the rest is saveable, i love this thing to death and i dont want to have to part with it if theres any way to save it
My sage plant has been having some issues, some of them have been turning brown. At first it was just bits of it but now itâs taking over leaves and they keep drying out and turning brown. I looked it up on google and said that it was about temperature. How do I fix this? Update: My leaves are turning soft and droopy :,>
HELP. Meet RubesđđȘŽ (named after my step-dadâs grandma, Ruby, who was the first owner of this plant!) Whatâs wrong with Rubes? I just got it after my pawpaw passed, I think my family might have over watered it on accident before giving it to me, but maybe she needs more light? Iâve had her for almost a month and only watered her once myself. Obviously thinking she needs to be repotted, lol but I am scared to because this plant has been in the family for 100 years. HELP. I donât want to mess up Rubes!! 2 tips are brown and 2 different leaves have these dry, brown spots. Xoxoxoxo.
I have my triostar in my living room with two south facing windows but itâs about 8ft from the closest window. At first I had it about 16ft but it the back of the plant looks like the pictures below. I brought it closer and it seems to be doing better but does this seem like a light or watering issue? Iâve been trying to water when I feel the top 1.5 inch of soil is dry.. which seems like it is frequently earlier than the app recommends⊠The pot is only about 4 inches
Is this a good spot for my orchid? Itâs by a west facing window
This is the second plant this has happened to at my house. Itâs a powdery white residue. It started randomly on a echeveria/succulent I had for multiple years and completely killed it. A couple months later I got this begonia and it started on it too. Iâve used a spray to kill it, but it wonât go away and keeps getting worse. I havenât seen it on any of my other plants, just those two.
What is going on?! I watered this yesterday and I pulled on this little guy and literally just snapped off⊠the rest of the plant looks good and has new growth. I would pull it out to see what the roots look like but Iâm scared where itâs cold outside that it will go in shock
