Help I got this pot of three little plants for my birthday in April. The middle of April. My son bought it for me and I think I overwatered my little aloe vera part please help !!! :/ am I to repot it ?? I donât think it drains in here and I have this little pot with holes in it. Should I put it in there?
I need a lot of help đđŹ. I have fungus gnats and I already repotted my plants, cleaned their roots and the pots, and gave them fresh dirt. I also have been watering them with water infused with misquito bits, put some on the top of the dirt, and put sticky traps in each of the pots. THEY'RE STILL ALIVE THOUGH. 3 out of the 4 pots they're in are my larger ones, so I was wondering what I can do to add drainage to them to keep them from being so wet. Also, did I do anything wrong? Do you suggest doing anything else to get rid of them?? Thanks!
please help me with my emerald lace plectranthus. the leaves keep browning and falling off, leaving it looking sad and leggy. south facing window, watered once the pot feels pretty light, no signs of pests. this was one of my mom's plants so i need it to survive.
Quick question: My radish plant has 6 leaves, and one of the first leaves to sprout is turning yellow. Is it a problem, and if yes what can I do??
Can someone please help me figure out what these spots are on my Pothos? Thank you in advance!!
I got this begonia rieger not that long ago. It did good for a few weeks and then it started wilting and dropping all of its flowers. There's been times where the leaves have felt damp, and there has been times where the leaves feel dry and crispy, I've also been following the Planata schedule completely. It's in standard potting mix that includes fertilizer in the soil. I live in zone 6a but have kept the begonia inside since I've gotten it. It is in a window that gets bright indirect sunlight. I've done the Dr. Planta AI and it is saying that I need to completely swap the soil out and leave the begonia out on paper towel to dry its roots. I've never heard of doing something like that on a plant before and it feels very intimidating, is that something I should do? Or is there any recommendations that could be given? Thank you so much for your time (Edit: dr planta is also saying my begonia is overwatered and overwatered at different times) All of these photos were taken July 20th 2025
Giving an update. I rescued a Janet Craig back in May. The center was black and crusty. Thought for sure it would die. I posted and asked for help. Thanks to the advice (trim out the black and get it on filtered water), along with other basic care, I'm happy to show the 2 month progress. The center is showing healthy green growth and doing great. This just reaffirms my belief that with patience and the right TLC, everything has the potential to heal and get better.
I've had this citronella for a few years without knowing it needed to be pruned. It's been growing inside and leaned up on the window so I didn't know it wasn't able to withstand it's own weight. Can I safely prune it now without killing it?
I have had my tineke for a long time in the same spot (well over a year and a half) and i just started getting some brown spots. What might be causing this???
Anyone know of something I can spray my plants with to make the cats keep from gnawing and munching on them? My spider plant is their favorite.
This is some type of pine tree, its been like this for months but I'm not sure if it's dead or not. Any way to revive it or should I throe it out?
What is going on with this Alocasia? It looked like it was going to bloom, then this strange thing grew out of the soil away from the plant. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Canât keep bamboo alive! đ I got three little bamboo stalks in dirt at IKEA and one by one each stalk turned yellow and died within a day or two, withering away completely over a month or so. I transplanted them to a rock and water only pot, instead of soil. Then a few months would go by and the same death would happen to the next one. Now Iâm down to my last one after almost a year and itâs turning yellow now too. I know its death is inevitable now. I also noticed that no matter what, the water always smells like rotten eggs. It never grew, except for one small leaf. I keep it in a low-light area a couple feet from a window and I refresh its water every week or every few weeks. Did I just buy a bad plant?
Hi everyone! Iâve had this gollum jade for a couple years now. Recently I noticed some roots coming out the bottom of the pot. After some research Iâm not sure the best course of action. Does this plant have root rot? Is it root bound? Should I root prune or just repot? The soil is pretty dry so should I do this before or after watering? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!!
Hi! Iâm new here. I have never been good with keeping plants alive but this year I bought all perennial plants for my gardens. These hostas I bought a few years ago, some this year. They look beautiful except some of the leaves are looking like theyâre rotting. Please help!

This is my stepmoms heartleaf philodendron, itâs been growing in water for over 7 years and I just got into plants a few months ago. What should I do to save this plant? As you can see thereâs 90% root rot with healthy roots at the bottom. This is the mother plant I get my cuttings from
I want to barf. Iâm a first time plant owner and bugs give me creeps, especially these! Help! I ordered systemic granules
Hi all, new to plants and recently got this lovely Parlor Palm! However, itâs been rapidly developing brown/yellow leaves, and also some brown spots. It gets lots of sun, so I thought maybe it was from being in direct sunlight and scorching the leaves. Moved it to a spot with bright, indirect sunlight, but it doesnât seem to be looking any betterâŠ. Any thoughts or advice? *EDIT* I added a photo of its roots tooâŠ. Lmk!!
