So I accidentally overwatered my favorite plant :( and now it’s all droopy and sad this was probably two weeks ago that it happened so I haven’t watered it since bc the soil was still kinda wet. Today I woke up to this so I decided to repot it with dry soil. I put some rocks in the bottom and then the dry soil on top with a little bit of the old wet soil on top. I did also water it just a tiny bit. Is there anything else I should do ?

Hello! 🪴🌱 I have been dealing with a recent thrips pest issue on my monstera plant :( This is all new to me to deal with and never had this issue before with my monstera. When I first noticed it, it was on 3-4 leaves very mild case, I did some research and bought myself a spray bottle and castille peppermint soap and went to cleaning the leaves, I let the soapy water solution sit on the leaves for about 1hr then started wiping the leaves… fast forward today After doing more research seemed like I did it wrong and didn’t leave the solution on the leaves and didn’t discard the paper towels I used to wipe after each leaf swipe and doing it once every 1or two week treatment. Today I noticed the thrips are in all the leaves now, my monstera looking sad, some leaves are turning yellow or brown, some leaves are loosing its vibrate green color 😩. I went ahead and bought neem oil plant spray and Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Killer Granules. I’m thinking of giving my monstera plant a thorough shower and changing the soil and treating it after with the pest treatments… any advice or tips I can do to help save my baby ? I’ll greatly appreciate it ❤️

Does anyone know the best way to bring plants back from severe frostbite (I forgot to bring my succulents back in before winter started😭😭😭)

What causes browning that starts from the base of the stem? This is the second time I have experienced this with a dracaena. This was chopped and propped from the original plant when it started about 2 months ago. Fresh soil, new smaller pot and a grow light were added. Is there any hope for this?

When move a plant to the graveyard is there a way you can add a note? Like why it most likely died.

I know what I have to do, but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it….. My girl I thought may have root rot has fungus that’s destroying my leaves and I have to chop and prop 😭 The 3 leaves at the top in the front are fine, but all of the rest are shriveling, ringed by brown and yellow and it’s creeping up the leaves. Can I peel off the diseased leaves to propagate the nodes?

Hello community! My fiddle leaf fig and I could use your help with diagnosis. Here are the facts: • The lower leaves on two of the three mature stalks are gradually fading in color (loss of chlorophyll?) and developing brown spots. • They’re taking their sweet, sweet time dropping. • I’ve observed this problem (mainly the fading color) gradually developing since the Spring, so I repotted the plant sometime in the summer, into a custom mixed super chunky soil with coco coir. • In the fall, I observed signs of spider mites as all my baby leaves were either dying and falling off, or growing out scarred. After a shower and frequent misting, I think we’re in the clear on that front. • The plant is directly in front of a window and may be exposed to some winter gusts that seep through the crevices. • I follow the Planta watering schedule and double check that the soil is mostly dry before watering, opting to water less than more. Any insight would be super appreciated! I inherited this plant from a friend 4 years ago and have been so delighted to watch it grow as big and bushy as it has. I’d be so devastated to see it die on me now ):

This is why we don’t slack on pest control. 🥴 I usually use mosquito bits and Castile soap in my watering can to control spider mites and fungus gnats, clearly I slacked and my goldfish plant had what I believe are spider mites in the soil. Luckily I think I found it in time and she’s been soaked and repotted in fresh soil.

Can anyone help me with some pointers for my money tree? She was flourishing a bit before but would grow a few and then they would just drop off. Now she’s looking very depressing.

Any advice on what is happening here? I have multiple plants that seemed do be doing wonderful and then over the past few months have started drying out at the stems and eventually dying off. This is a piece of my golden pothos but it’s happened to my philodendron, Hoya, several others. I have lost so many plants lately and no idea why, I’ve not changed anything with my routines

Anyone know what might be eating my indoor fiddle-leaf fig?? I’ve tried a few rounds of neem oil, but I still keep getting these little munched sections from the edges and middle of the leaves!

Good news, bad news! I have identified the problem (hopefully early enough)! ROOT ROT 😬 I’ve dug her out and rinsed her. She’s drying now, but I don’t know where to go from here! Do I treat with hydrogen peroxide? Rubbing alcohol? I don’t wanna repot until I’m sure! (New pot on the left there, don’t worry!)

My guzmania lingulata was struggling with curling leaves in a cold, dry room so I moved it to my desk with a warmer grow light. I’m not sure if the light will be too much where it is since I use the light for succulents. What is a good distance from the grow light for my guzmania? The light has 2000 lumens and is currently about a foot away from the guzmania.

Hi I’m new in the Anthurium and I recently ordered a radicans x luxurians online from a Florida based website. Due to the extreme winter weather in Chicago last weekend and the delay of USPS (8 days on the way), even with winter protection (package came with two heating pad), the plant arrived very unhappy, see the photos on the day I open the package, two days later and 5 days later. When I open the box the soil was totally dry, so I cut of the most damaged leaf, soaked the pot in room temperature water, used damp moss to wrap the air root, then put it at a warm spot with indirect bright light spot under a plant light. For now all the leaves are brown, curly and crispy except for the mini one at the bottom, but the stem is firm and the air root seems fine. I haven’t check the roots in soil yet because I don’t want to give it more stress. Do you think it can bounce back? Is there anything else I can do to help the poor plant? Thanks!

My Hoya has not grown??? In two years? I feel like this is an odd problem for a plant. I know these guys are long lived but we got this plant when it was flowering. It has never flowered again, nor has it grown even a smidgen. It isn't sickly, no yellow leaves or leaf drop. Roots are good. But we are frozen? Help?
