Hello all, I have a set of recently planted “Fine Line Buckthorn” plants (not invasive but a hybrid) of Botanical Name: “Rhamnus frangula 'Ron Williams'” (see photos). In a matter of 1-2 days most leaves turned yellow/brown with pinhole size holes (photos). I also found 2 beetle-type insects (don’t know exactly what they are) on a leaf (also took photo). I appreciate wholeheartedly if any of you have insight into what may be causing this and, more importantly, what I could do to remediate and hopefully bring back these beautiful plants to their healthy state. Thanks in advance.

Hello all! Brand new to this app and also growing plants- but we’ve just sort of dived right in! We accidentally on purpose purchased a blackberry plant that looks pretty healthy, but I spotted a few things that might be issues. Please take a look and let me know if they -are- issues, and what I might do about them! Thank you in advance :) (the very base of the plant is very brown and sort of hard, but not very hard, and some of the leaves are very dark brown on just the very edges)

trim and replant, or chop and prop? i’m trying to decide what to do with this fishbone cactus (disocactus anguliger). it hasn’t been looking good (wilty and dehydrated despite watering when the soil is dry) since i retrieved it from a friend’s house, i’ve suspected root rot but just recently got around to unpotting it. at least half the root system fell off when i rinsed the soil from roots. the remaining roots don’t feel healthy. i’ve attached pictures of it laying down on the front landing, one on each side. i’m curious, if this were your plant, what would you do? i don’t want to have to discard the root system but i may have to. i’m almost certain there aren’t enough healthy roots left to support the foliage as is. pretty sure the safe choice is to chop and prop, but i thought i’d reach out for others opinions first. thanks in advance for your thoughts.

PLEASE HEEEEELP Urgent request, is there any way I can propagate the right arm of this silver spiky palm tree into another pot? I made a post about a month ago regarding his health and had to move him to a better place with more sunlight, now he looks even worse. I really love this plant, is there anything I can do? First photo is the top of the spiky palm, second is the arm I would like to transplant into another home.

My coworker’s plant is not doing too hot!!! The soil is really wet and in a window (south I think). Can we save him?

Hello! So my poor little plant wasn’t watered well when it was first brought home. What I want to do is cut out all the dead and let the alive part take over. It is a Pilea Depressa and its tag says Tiny Tears. Will it repair its own leaves or do I cut out the dead?

Does anyone know what might be wrong with my Florida Sunshine Illicium? The nursery said I had it in too much sun when this began so it’s been on my covered, south-facing porch for a while now. It’s just getting worse. I thought it was overwatered but I don’t think that’s the case here. There is plenty of drainage. Please help! 😩 TIA

I found a fairly thick, white fuzzy thing growing out of the bottom of my golden pothos. I’m not sure what it is? To give context, this is a plant that I recently planted in soil after propagating a cutting in water. The cutting was taken from a very old plant that had been neglected for many many years and had signs of mold. The first and second photos are the plant today, and the third photo is the neglected mother plant I took the cuttings from.

I've had an issue with both my Begonia Escargot and Nerve Plant having leaves with crispy brown edges, what should I do? When I first got them, I didn't have a grow light and that's when the problem started. Now they've had one for about a month or two now, the Begonia has a ton of new growth but still has crispy edges on some parts. I've been watering them per Planta's schedule, so I don't think that's part of the issue either? They're also both next to a small humidifier. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey all, I need some help! I was going to water my plants and was doing my normal check ups when I saw what looks like a mushroom (shown in the picture) growing off one of the roots. I pulled it off and took the small root off that it was on as well in the hopes that it doesn’t spread but does anyone know what I should do/if this is a big problem?? I’ve had this plant for so long and I’ve never seen this before!

My snake plant - this is the second leaf this spot has appeared on. Obviously I feel like I’m watering properly - any ideas?

My lemon tree leaves are curling. I just gave it a good soaking and made sure the water drain through because I know that dry can make them curl. I left for a few days so I guess it missed me. I talk to it every morning on my way to work and when I get home.

What could be wrong with my golden pothos? As you can tell by the pictures, it started with a brown spot on the biggest leaf, and slowly turned the whole leaf yellow. It looks like the same will happen to the e second leaf, any tips? I recently downsized to a smaller pot.

Need some advice: 🙏 I have a baby rubber plant, I left it with my grandpa and when I came back turns out he had it sitting in a pot full of water for six days. I drained the pot, removed the molding soil, and let the soil drain for a little bit, then I patted it with some paper towels and added some dry soil to the pot to hopefully absorb some of the water. Is there anything I did wrong or anything else I should do to help it?

Any idea what these spots mean? They are on a pothos that is typically only watered when dry and is in a ceramic pot with an attached drainage tray. The plant seems to be growing well, but just has a few leaves that these spots have popped up on.

My jade plant is losing leaves very quickly and prematurely! Attached are images of the plant originally, now, and two of said leaves. Why might this be and how should I save it?
