Hi!! I have a Swedish ivy who is huge and starting to have leaves that are getting black/brown and shriveling up😱 I’m wondering if this is a sign I need to cut her back or if there may be another issue going on?

I’ve had this African violet for over a year now, and it was doing really well until about a month ago! The flowers started not blooming fully when they emerged and more recently it’s had none at all. I thought it might need a repotting, and when I pulled it out, I found its roots were really shallow (although otherwise looked okay) and noticed the bottom of the pot’s soil was still damp even with drainage so a few days ago I moved it back into a much smaller pot with new African violet potting soil in case it had been gradually getting root rot or was overwatered. I haven’t watered it since before that repotting. This morning I noticed some of the leaves had turned brown and started feeling mushy/droopy overnight so I cut about 4 damaged ones off, but only 8 hours later or so I’ve noticed more leaves turning partially brown (see photo). Any advice on what could be going wrong?? Does it just need time to adjust or should I keep trimming leaves/check again for root rot? Is it getting sunburnt or maybe affected by the draft of being by an open window? It recently started cooling down at night and I noticed the leaves that keep turning brown are the ones closest to the window
but the plant has also always been on the same table in the same place. I don’t want to cause the plant more stress, but I’m also worried about not doing anything if there’s a deeper issue!

Hey guys! â˜ș So I recently noticed mealy bugs on one of my plants which prompted me to thoroughly check all of my others
I noticed the furry spots on my philodendron’s stem, which I figured was mealy bugs, but I also noticed very tiny egg-like dots on top of the leaves, and underneath, there were some more tiny dots around the same size, but some were crawling. (Wish I could post a video so y’all could see their speed.) Are these mealy bug related or does the plant have a mealy bug problem + something else going on? Thanks in advance! (This is my first time dealing with pests, so I’m kinda panicking lol)

I got this syngonium recently and it was doing good for a bit and now some leaves are yellowing and they are curling at the ends. It’s in a self watering pot and has been under a grow light with some other plants. What should I do?

Help! My philodendron is growing mushrooms. I just found them today. Google says to scrape them out and replace the top layer of soil. What are some solutions to ensure this doesn’t happen again? I have nine different plant types in my home and this has never happened before.

Calathea problems. I haven’t changed anything about their care process. They were beautiful plants. Recently I did remove their decorative pots cause I noticed alot of moisture on the outside of their black pots and wanted to make sure the plants are drying out as they should. I’ve noticed the soil has been staying more damp for longer than usual. I just trimmed all the dead leaves off both of them. One of them decided to start throwing out new leaves. The other just keeps getting more brown. This is just a phase right. lol. I know they’re temperamental lol

Got this little silver moon Hoya on fb yesterday, it has one root growing out of this little cup already however I’m more curious about the green algae stuff. I know usually that stuff isn’t harmful but is it a sign of needing to be repotted? Also this is my first Hoya, what are some recommendations you guys have for care?

What should I do for this bird of paradise Got it yesterday and some of the leaves are struggling, stiff, curled up, and losing their greenness. Is the bark chippy soil it’s in alright or do I need a different one? I was recommend fox farms ocean forest soil but I can’t afford it. Should I get fertilizer? If so what kind and again preferably an inexpensive kind. Is this pot good enough size wise and not gonna cause root rot?

Does anyone know what's going on with this plant? The top leaves are fine but a couple of the bottom leaves are doing this.

I got a milk confetti syngonium and pink neon about three weeks ago. I also have a strawberry cream. I repotted all three. This morning I noticed the milk confetti had several of the small leaves turn yellow. I trimmed them off, but I wish I would have taken a picture first. It was very dry and I watered it thoroughly today. It’s in a clear plastic pot, and the other leaves look very healthy. My other two syngoniums look great. They’re all under a grow light. Since I’m rather new to syngoniums I wanted to ask if you think I should be concerned. Can the yellow leaves be because it needed to be watered? Is there anything else I should check for? It seems pest free.

Someone help me.. what is this wiggly thing in my plants water? It keeps getting them between water changes (this water change was a little late - I usually change the water every 1-2 weeks, this water/photo/issue was about 3 weeks between changes). I use city water & a less than a pinch of fertilizer every other time I change the water out, which I did not do the last time I changed the water out.

My bird of paradise plant had a few leaves appear about four weeks ago, and it still hasn’t sprouted. It slowly grew for a few weeks, but now I think it has stopped growing and is stuck. Any advice on how to fix this or what causes it?

I’m looking after this plant and have noticed these brown spots on one leaf. I’ve checked the rest of the plant and it seems fine. They look rounded and fuzzy, does anyone know what they are?

So I am visiting my mom’s house and she’s recently propagated and planted these monstera babies. Clearly, they are upset. She rooted them in water and removed the water from them four about 24 hours so they were sitting in empty propagation jars (she meant to plant them and then something came up so they were left without water) Now that she’s potted them, they are losing leaves, turning yellow and brown, and are drooping. Does anyone have a solution? They are watered once a week. Is the best thing to do just cut them above the lowest node and wait for them to slowly grow new leaves?

Hi I was gifted an anthurium. The plant is still growing new leaves so I don’t think I’ve killed it. However, throughout the year it’s lost all of its flowers and hasn’t grown any new ones. It’s still pretty but I’d love to grow some new flowers. Any tips?
