The tips are shriveling! It looks like tiny new green leaves are sprouting. We have fired up our wood stove. Any ideas?

Any ideas on what's happened to my croton?? It was fine one day, floppy the next. I've had the heating on quite a lot, and have been slacking on misting... It's also sitting in a single glazed window with gaps, and the temperature has been about 5° or less recently... I'm thinking it must be one or the other? Thanks!

Well friends, my time has finally come. With 100+ houseplants, I’ve spotted thrips on two of them. I’ve sprayed all leaves with spinosad, and added/watered in systemic granules into the soil. I have also treated nearby plants, though neither of the visually affected ones were touching other plants. I believe they sat undetected for a good bit as they were found on a philodendron I got many months ago. I was not quite as adamant (crazy) about quarantine + new home treatment then as I am now. Unfortunately, my mind is going absolutely insane thinking that my entire collection is infested, though I know that’s not the case. They were spotted on four leaves between two plants at most. Both are healthy-looking, vibrant, and have new growth. Any additional tips (or simple reassurance to calm my mind) are welcome. TIA! 🤍🪴

Not sure what’s wrong with my monkey tail. The roots were white and looked healthy and I replaced the soil so it’s fresh. 😭 it used to be huge and I already had to cut off a lot of parts

Watering my aglaonema pictum tricolor and saw this…should I be concerned? Do I need to isolate it? Any ideas what could cause this to occur?

Any help would be appreciated! My birds nest is getting brown and dry at some points on the leaves. I’m not sure what to do here. I water it once a week as I heard this plant doesn’t like its soil to get dry.

Are drying leaves from underwatering? Following recommendations for corn plant but seems to not be improving

Hi all, My plants were doing great. But recently, I am spotting these brown marks on one leaf and the other leaves are turning yellow. I reduced watering because the temperature is low (5-7^C outside and usually 16-18^C indoors). I use yellow lights because sun had been hiding constantly 😑 But they are right next to window, so whenever there is sun, they get it. They are potted with Miracle grow tropical soil mix and perlite. I checked the roots and they seemed healthy, some white roots too. Any suggestions to help them survive? Soil change? Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Needing some help with my peace lily. I did not realize how temperamental these bad boys are. My mom suggested I grow it in water as opposed to soil. It thrived and did fantastic the first two weeks but is now declining fast. I used distilled water and used liquid plant food. It normally sits in my kitchen facing a large window to the northeast. The app suggested it might be getting too much light. Any other suggestions, I’d really hate to lose this one!

Help! I got Fungus flies from a Christmas Cactus I bought at the grocery store, and it spread to all my plants. It has been a month and the nasty little critters are still flying around. Her is what I’ve done: -I watered all the plants with 1/4 hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 water. -I put traps in all the plants - I put blue light up plug in traps around the downstairs. - I watered 2 weeks later with mosquito dunk granules. At first it seemed it was getting better, but still fungus flies ( yes I check ) flying around face and nose, a few upstairs now as well. But, now it seems they are proliferating again. Any and all advice would be welcome. My husband is ready to toss all my plants!

What are these black dots on my rope Hoya? 😭 I removed this branch, I don’t see any movement from these black dots or on the plant itself but there are so many nooks and crannies. Thinking I’m going to repot it and sock the plant in Castile soap because although I treat her every now and then I can’t really get every leaf covered due to the curls. I want to save her, one of my favorite plants, before it’s too late 🤞🏻 Also might just grab a couple clippings to propogate in case this goes south

Can anyone tell me if it looks like I’ve removed all the root rot? Some of my plant leaves are curling up as if they’re dehydrated so I’m worried that they will not recover or I haven’t properly removed root rot. I plan on moving the plants to either LECA or PON but I want to try and make the roots a little stronger first so that hopefully they don’t die while they’re going through shock from the substrate change

This app says I shouldn’t water my prayer plant for another five days, but it’s looking a little worse? Its leaves weren’t this curled a couple days ago. Left is before, right is right now. I repotted it a couple days ago if that’s important

My Thai Monstera leaf has is browning. The spread seems to be slowing down but definitely still expanding. I also have a few roots that are pushing out of the soil upwards. The plant is overall very healthy and is expecting a new leaf to open up any day now. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do to keep this plant healthy?
