This is my foster dracena, I think š he needs some loving. Should I propagate (where Iām pointing in the 3rd photo) and see if I can save him? His other shoot is doing just fine, 4th photo

Just got this majesty palm from Walmart š the leaves are turning yellow with brown spots. I have it in the living room getting a lot of indirect sun & itās watered but not over watered (it was completely dry when I bought it). How can I save it??
Ok plant parent professionals! Iām in prevention mode after my battle with pests last fall. This is a new-ish baby for me. Overall doing well. Had one yellow leaf so backed off the watering to dry before watering again. Then in doing āinspectionsā more religiously, I noticed the speckling on the back of one of the leaves and then the spotting on another leaf. I treated with a neem concoction two (?) weeks ago as prevention and discovered these symptoms yesterday. Other things to note - sits under a grow light 12 hrs a day with a humidifier running. Thoughts?
Any ideas on the rust-like browning on the leaves of my ZZ plant? I always wait until heās completely dry before watering. He is currently moist from about an inch below the surface all the way down, so he wonāt need watering for awhile. Over the last couple of months, Iāve had a few stems where all the leaves turned yellow. In fact, the leaves are turning yellow on a stem right next to this one. The rest of the plant is beautiful and pumping out new growth constantly. He sits on a dresser in my bedroom that is about 6ft. from the intake vent. This is the only thing that I can think of that would be affecting the plant. Iāve never seen these reddish brown spots on a plant before, so Iām hoping someone can give me guidance.
SOS!! Is this normal for babies ; Iām new to thisš
Aloe plant has been developing these black spots over past couple weeks. Was previously healthy. Not sure what theyāre from. I did add a grow light as thereās been less sun in winter and I have tons of succulents. Could it be too much light? Also had the house cold due to being out of town for a month.
My monstera is really upset with me. Its roots had grown out of the drainage holes a lot, so I decided it was time to repot. Well the only other pot I had was this large nursery pot from an old plant, and it hates it š I know that they like to be quite cramped in, but I thought it wouldāve been fine after some time and it seems to be only getting sadder. Any tips? I know the majority will be to get a slightly smaller pot, but aside from this is there anything I can do (without spending money, there arenāt any pots in the store nearest to me as far as I know).
My Flaming Katy seems to be suffering at the roots. Iāve been finding these tiny flies in the soil and now branches are breaking off where the stem meets the soil because itās so brittle. Any idea why and how I can save it?
I accidentally knocked a big leaf off of one of my plants. Can it survive? (Pics are before and after)
I just got myself some beneficial nematodes to kill my long-time unwanted guests: the thrips. I was excited that I found some for cheaper than predatory mites, but I just realized it might be trickier to successfully apply them. Seems like they need to be added to the plantās soil via water. Hereās the catch though: I have about 100 plants and they literally never all need water at the same time š Do I risk overwatering some just this once to apply the nematodes? Unfortunately the todes canāt live in water alone for more than a few hours otherwise Iād batch water. Hmmm š¤
I need help with my maidenhair fern š I cannot sustain her happiness and Iām not sure what Iām doing wrong. I know I skipped a watering day months ago but sheās still not coming back like Iād hope š She gets watered every other day and sits next to a humidifier in the bathroom my husband uses for baths multiple times a day so itās the most humid room. Iām in Colorado which is soooo dry but Iām doing the most for her! If anyone has suggestions Iād really appreciate it š« The second picture is when she was much happier (husband is also pictured š)
Does anyone know if this is from under watering or too much sun? Shes currently 5-6 inches away from the window and her watering day was today so Iām unsure.
What are song good houseplants that arent toxic to animals. I have a little kitten and he loves getting into places he shouldnāt!
I noticed some leaves on my fern turning pale and browning, and Iām wondering whatās wrong with it. Iām worried itās not getting enough water, even though I water according to Plantaās schedule for it, but Iām worried about overwatering I know this is new browning too, because I cut away all the old browning that I could to help Fred grow back. I also took some pictures of my plants between then and now, and this is new I pour water in the outside pot and let it go up through the holes in his actual pot. I know it reaches the top, so Iām pretty sure itās getting to the roots because the soil on top is damp
Can someone please tell me the make of this plant pls ?? Also why the leaves are curling ??
Hi All! Iām a newbie and just got this plant from the clearance rack in Loweās. It says itās a Painted Lady philodendron. I need Suggestions on what to do for her. The top part seems ok but the bottom looks like sheās dying.
This is a scindapsus pictus and I havenāt figured out whatās going on. Iām wondering why the leaves are curling up and if it needs more water. Any suggestions are appreciated:)
Hello everyone, I have this alocasia black velvet. Did I overwater it?? Should I prune the dead leaves? I havenāt watered it in a while since Iām afraid of killing the unwrapped leaf. How do I know when Iāve watered it enough?
Can someone identify what these dots showing up on my alocasia. Not sure what I need to do to treat
Hello! I have this little palm of mine that has some brown tips on the leaves from a period of being underwatered. Am I okay to cut the brown bits off or should they be left alone? The rest of the plant is back to healthy growth. Thank you!
