Any recommendations for keeping fruit flys away from my plant?
I got this hybrid tea rose as a gift 1-2 weeks ago. I’m not familiar with these, but I’ve watered it once, once the soil felt dry. I’ve already pulled off some sprigs of yellow leaves, but I’m sad the blooms are drying and falling already. Is this just the normal cycle of a rose or am I doing something wrong?
I have a small Mexican Key Lime tree that I’ve been caring for since the summer. It was placed outside during the warm weather in full sun and thrived, almost doubling its size in a matter of months. It’s now inside for the winter under a grow light (12 hrs of light) and was gradually acclimated to the indoor setting. I forgot to water it while it was inside and it dropped its leaves. It has recovered and started flowering before producing some new leaves. Wondering when I could prune this plant, since all the new leaves are at the top now. Hoping to encourage it to regrow leaves lower down.
HELP!! Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my snake plant and how to fix it. The fact that it’s so circular makes me think something like fungus, but of course googling in gives me like five different possibilities. This is currently only on two leaves, each in different little groupings of the same pot… can I save the rest of the plant from this 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey! 🥰 My mum has gifted me a Pink Calla but more so try and save! I have never had pests before - thank god - however, after inspecting the soil i can see HUNDREDS of tiny lil bugs. I’ve done my best to take a photo lol but they were so small my camera didn’t want to focus on them. Any ideas what these are and any advise on how to get rid of them?? The plant literally only has one leaf left and she thought it was a light issue but now i’m guessing it’s these lil critters. Pls help lol
Can anyone help… my Alocasia zebrina just slowly seems to be dying, I changed the soil when I first got it and gave it a good feed as it was already in a sorry state. I have been misting and moving to the bathroom when it’s steamy.
Nearly microscopic white bugs crawling on the tops of my pots and in my moss pole but not on my plants. Wondering, is this too small to be mealy bugs? They’re almost too small for the eye to see. I have been googling and can’t tell if it’s springtails, soil mites, mealy bugs or what
Got to my mom’s for Christmas and her money tree is looking terrible. I just removed all the fully yellow leaves and I want to help this plant out as much as possible. Does anyone have any advice or know why it could be losing so many leaves? My money tree at home is thriving and I’ve never had any issues with it so I’m not really sure how to manage my mom’s and give it the best shot at survival.
I recently got a Chinese money plant and it had been doing fine. Recently I noticed a brown spot in the middle of one of the leaves and yellow dots under the leaves. I think it’s some type of fungus but I’m not sure how to treat it? Help!
I was on vacation for 15 days and my peace Lilly went from healthy to this 😩 how can I save her?!
Hello everybody! I received this Alocasia Polly as a gift. My friend purchased it from a nursery and 2 days ago the leaves were perfect. Now it seems it has developed these yellowing/brown edges which seems to be occurring quickly. This is my first Alocasia. No signs of pests or spider mites. The soil was light to moderately dry as I watered it and seemed to absorb quite a bit of the water. Are these spots from being underwatered? Thank you for your help! 😊
I’ve had my lucky bamboo for a little more than a year. When I first got it after about a week one of the stocks went yellow starting from the bottom and I cut it off. Then I got a grow light and the plant seemed fine after that. The plant thrived for a while and got tall. Then a few of the leaves went yellow recently and another stock went yellow starting from the bottom. So I repotted the plant with new soil in a different pot. I trimmed the roots a bit because they took the shape of the old one. All the roots seemed healthy though. I took out the yellow stock and what was left of the old one that died. I also pruned the top of it. I’ve been making sure it gets enough water. More leaves have been turning yellow and I keep cutting them off. Now some of the stocks are turning yellow from the top. Please help, does anyone know what’s wrong with my plant?
Hi, I’ve had this ‘Black Velvet’ Alocasia since May and grew a second plant from a corm I discovered when repotting soon after purchasing. She has been mostly healthy and bloomed in July. However, it recently developed brown edges on 3 leaves in mid Nov and two of those leaves recently turned very yellow in the past 5 days or so. These photos are from yesterday. Some leaves had been misted when I decided to take a photos. I thought with the brown tips I was under watering as it did get dry; or providing too much light, so I moved further away from grow light about a week ago. Now with the yellowing I’m wondering if I’m overwatering. I’m definitely not watering more often than recommended. I admit I don’t always test the soil. I do know they are notoriously challenging, but it was doing so well. I’ve added a photo of the whole plant. Any thoughts or advice? Thank you in advance.
I have a money tree that was flourishing and putting out new clusters weekly. Occasionally I would have a couple leaves turn yellow and drop but the past few weeks to maybe two months it has gotten worse. I water the same and it is in the same room only a different location to accommodate my Christmas tree. I gave it some indoor fertilizer to see if that would help and it hasn’t. Here are a few photos. Please help!!!
My money trees leaves are facing down. Is this normal or are they supposed to be facing up?
Got this Prayer plant a week ago but the leaf is yellowing and curling inward😰. I am a newbie with plants so any advice is appreciated
I was gifted this alocasia today from a local nursery but it seems like they cut into it. what should i do? would it survive? update: i wash off the dirt and took off as much as i could of the squishy stuff and then washed it with water & hydrogen peroxide. The few roots it did have were healthy & signs of new growth. crossing my fingers 🤞🏼 that this will help. Really dont want it to die.
Is this some type of plant disease?
I got this Thanksgiving Cactus a couple months ago, and it’s just started blooming. But I just noticed these little “pimples” on the leaves. Any ideas what they are and how to get rid of them?
My plants have bugs on the leaves and in the soil they are tiny little black flys. I have been using this I don’t know if it will work. Does anyone have something they use to get ride of all bugs that works well?
