Why is my money tree so sad? It used to have all kinds of leaves but within the last few months it’s been dropping leafs and not really producing new ones ): I haven’t changed the location or the light level in recent months. I did move it to a lower light area a few months ago because it was getting too much, it thrived for a bit and now it’s struggling )):

it looks a little leggy like it wants more light? My daughter has hers under a grow light for about 6 hours a day because she doesn't have many good windows and it absolutely loves the grow light. Also she waters it about every 10 days when it dries out. She bottom waters it by letting it sit in water for about 20 minutes, taking it out and let it fully drain

I’ll give it some more light and see if that helps, I feel like it had too much light before but idk I’ll see if that helps, thank you (:

Have you checked to make sure the rubber band holding the trunks together is cut off. I didn’t cut mine off and it started looking like that

Check the roots! I inherited a giant one that just would not grow. Found out 2 of the stems were fully rotted and she had the tiniest roots. Her roots looked like they belonged to a plant your size yet she is like 3 or 4x the size of yours 😭 My theory is that they root kinda crappy naturally and if they have significant stressors like persistent overhydration, or a very long term bug issue, they just do not channel as much into their roots
