Hi there! I live in Fl where the highs of the day are reaching between 92-98 degrees and almost my whole collection is outside. Everyone except my anthurium are doing well, does anyone know if I move the anthurium inside will they be okay? I have good lighting in my bedroom where a monstera does well. Should I get a humidifier?
You’re so lucky, it’s been hitting a heat index of 105-117° here in Tampa lately. I’ve had to move almost all of my outdoor plants to full shade and water them almost twice a day now. I moved my monstera Thai con inside because he got a sunburn in 18 minutes of direct sun. If you can keep the humidity around 40% or higher an anthurium will be fine inside kept by the brightest window you have

0개 좋아요 I only got a humidifier for the explicit addiction to begonias and then I also caved in and got 2 alocasia, turned out each one was 2 so really 4. My monsteras don’t need no humidifier but my lights are all by the humidifier so they just get spoiled.

hello!! also in florida, anthuriums are best inside for the summer. our sun will definitely burn them. you can move it back outside once temps cool down to the 70-80s ish. i recommend a humidifier since it's been outside, and our outdoor humidity (depending on location) can get as high as 90%, and houses are only at 40-50%, which is a big adjustment

What do you think about a Hoya Crimson Queen, or a Jade plant? They happy enough in an east facing screened in apartment patio in Orlando, Florida!?

0개 좋아요 omg i'm also in orlando!!! i have a family friend with a jade that's over 20 years old, it lives on their porch for almost the entire year. they "over-winter" it by keeping it in their garage (it has windows) during the couple of weeks we have where frost is possible. hoya are tropicals and love it here too!
