Hi friends, My Monstera Thai Con pushed out this new leaf in May and she still hasn’t unraveled yet. Is this normal? Any tips or tricks? I did put a humidifier by her a few weeks ago and I haven’t seen much of a difference yet. Thanks!

last time my Thai took over a month to open up she gave me a leaf twice the size of the previous one 🤞🏼 also when did you repot her? can’t see any roots so she might be focusing on that
1 likeWait that makes so much sense…I transferred her into LECA end of May and I’ve been taking her out periodically to monitor her roots. Thank you!
1 likeyayyy but what do you mean taking her out periodically? 😆
0 likesLOL so I transferred her from soil to LECA and I tried cleaning the roots of the soil as much as I could but I couldn’t get all the soil Off. So I read that you should occasionally (once every 2ish weeks) remove the black or rotted roots to prevent further spread. Is this right lol 😂
0 likesJust keep in mind that every time you pull her out it causes stress. If you can't resist I'd suggest ditching the LECA & going back to soil in a clear pot.

0 likesIt could need more sun!! i’ve noticed my monstera that i have in a darker corner does this while the ones i have in more direct light don’t!
1 likeYes I thought that too! I just put up a grow light a couple days ago so hopefully that helps
0 likesAnother suggestion and something I’ve done before is that you could gently try to unfurl it some. Sometimes my monstera leaves get stuck and just need a tiny bit of help opening
