Early valentines gift from my hubby, but it keeps molding on top. What does this mean? Why does it keep molding? I constantly change the water out.

3therea1Definitely a keeper lol! Mold typically grows in dark and damp environments, so if your bamboo is under a shelf and is getting too much water, for example, that could cause the mold to form. Aeration also has something to do with it, because if there isn’t a lot of circulation going on, then it allows spores to accumulate faster. So, I would try to remove as much mold as you can, or consider changing out the rocks and setting that your bamboo is in.

Thank you @3therea1! It’s on the top shelf and receives indirect light. The temps in the house do change a lot since my son loves the AC. Haha I need to look for another pot to put it in with this rectangular shape. And yes, definitely a keeper ❤️
