Hi! I have this weird greenish/white goo(?) on the top of my spider plant soil. Like almost looks like chewed gum. It was hard to get a good picture but it’s all over the top of the soil. What is it?? Do I need do get rid of it?

that happens to mine too pretty often! i’ve tried everything from home remedies, to manual removal, to stirring it up, and unfortunately the only thing i’ve found to help for the longest is new soil ): i’m sure there’s an easier way though! just to add- i have read a few things saying it’s mold and i’ve also read a few things saying it’s mineral collections from the water, idk though!
0개 좋아요It's a fungus. Shouldn't harm the plant. But you can scrape it off and sprinkle with ceylon cinnamon or some peroxide to kill the spores.
