I separated and repotted my Clivia 2 months ago. About three weeks later they seemed to be going downhill so I checked roots and there was some root rot happening. Cleaned it up. Now another month later one of them had some leaves turning yellow. Checked it and pulled about 5 middle leaves out with the bottom part rotted. Looked inside in the middle and it’s rotted w little long white pests crawling around inside. The root system looks great though!! What happened and why is this happening?? I’ve tried researching online and can’t find what’s going on. What r the bugs and what can be done? I tried to get a good pic of the inside but it’s hard with only 2 hands lol

The bugs are mealybugs. I would soak it in a mixture of Castile soap and water, then spray the roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide

Also cut right above the root rot
