I recently got this plant from a friend and I don’t think it’s doing well :( it has some brown spots & a bit of yellowing. My friend told me that the plant was out in the sun for a while and got sunburnt. How do I revive it?

    Don't water until its completely dry. Your friend may have overwatered it and that's probably why it has yellowing. Those leaves will not turn green again. You could also take a look at its roots to see if there is some root rot and cut those off.
