    I am not sure but I think it’s a type of mushroom. ETA: I did a reverse image google search and it said The mushroom in the image is likely a Black-Staining Polypore (Meripilus sumstinei), also known as Giant Polypore (Meripilus giganteus) or potentially a similar species like Hen of the Woods (Grifola frondosa)
