Why do my string of things always fail ๐
Why do my string of things always fail ๐
Try to take the strands and lay them wrapped around on top of the dirt with nodes down. I did that with my string of pearlsโฆthis is a before and after. Itโs really filling in now.

์ข์์ 1๊ฐGood luck with it! I love the strings so muchโฆMy string of rubies is not doing as well. So leggy. Im trying everything Im going to try stronger grow light next.
์ข์์ 1๊ฐYou could get the same results if you donโt identify the cause of the plant looking like it does now. Itโs usually insufficient light, fertilizer issues or improper watering (too much or too little). Low light can make it slowly die off. Ensure it has good lighting close enough to it and is getting light exposure long enough to help the plant thrive. It could be overwatered if the soil doesnโt dry out quickly. It could be under watered if you wait too long in between watering and the plant gets too wrinkled. Fertilize in the warmer months. ๐ชด๐
์ข์์ 1๊ฐSame! I have killed a string of coins and a magnificent string of turtles. ๐ข. I currently have a small string of coins. Did you repot yours? I feel like I killed both of mine by repotting them.
์ข์์ 1๊ฐI repotted mine a while ago. A few months back, I almost killed this pictured string of pearls but somehow revived it. I've also nearly killed a variegated string of pearls and I have killed a string of bananas
์ข์์ 1๊ฐString of pearls is a succulent. It needs very gritty soil. Soil needs to dry out between waterings. The roots are very shallow. So when planted into a regular pot, the bottom half probably never dries out because the roots donโt go that deep. And it needs lots of bright light. Mine is under a strong grow light about 14 hours a day.
์ข์์ 1๊ฐAh, I bet that's part of the problem
