0 likesThey are tenacious and can revive a couple of weeks later. Disinfect hands and tools. Wipe down the shelf/table with alcohol. Check the other plants.
0 likesYep remove with alcohol on a q tip. I spray with neem oil weekly routinely, and for mealy bugs I would also spray with a diluted mixture 1:4 ratio of alcohol to water weekly. Make sure to spray the soil and plant.

1 likeI had mealy bugs on my purple velvet plant. Surprisingly doing those steps got kid of them quick within maybe two weeks!
