Hi plenty peeps ๐๐ฝ I recently got this plant and he is not happy. Iโve never had one of these before so Iโm hoping to learn from some of you who have had one. It was a Loweโs rescue and half dead when I got it but itโs worse now. Any tips of helping it bounce back? Thank you!
do you use chlorinated tap water for this plant? if so iโd recommend filtering and treating your tap water first with some aquarium water conditioner. i use that or rainwater but many people will recommend distilled water as well. prayer plants are really sensitive to excess chemicals and minerals in their soil so the purer the water the better; iโd recommend flushing the soil thoroughly once the top 1/2โ or so has dried

I totally agree with Plant Father about the plantโs sensitivity to the chemicals in tap water. The pot may be too big and holding more water than the plant can use. This could be causing the damages on the leaves. The new pot should only be 1 inch to 2 inches wider than the previous pot when repotting. I recommend repotting to a smaller size pot that is just wider than the root ball diameter.
