My plants are being pillaged thrips,spider mites and fungus gnats please help I’ve sorta gotten the gnats at bay and the spider mites I now have thrips this is my first year looking after and not killing plants I’ve been fine for months and this month they are being attached all at once what do I do ive no idea and thrips seem to be the scariest I have a small child so I’ve been using natural things hydrogen and cinnamon and things like soap oil and water with hydrogen mix what would be the best thing to do? I’ve resulted to chucking them outside 🥹

    I say repot them with clean soil and spray them with neem oil. Good luck 🙏🏻

    Thrips are very hard to get rid of because they actually lay their eggs inside the plant tissue, so you have to repeat treatments several times to fully eradicate them. Fortunately, this treatment will work for most pests! 1. Invest in a lint roller, or some masking tape! Gently going over each of the leaves - top and bottom - with the roller will physically remove any pests. Do this as often as possible! With thrips however, this will only remove the adults and larvae, since the eggs are laid inside the plant. But don’t worry! 2. Get some insecticide soap and treat the plants on a weekly basis- don’t use dish soap, it can be harmful to the plant roots. 3. REPEAT!! Some pests can hide under the lip or on the bottom of your pots , so I’d say do a round or 2 of treatments to help rid the plant of some before repotting. Completely wash off the roots and spray with a 3:1 ratio of 3 parts water, 1 part hydrogen peroxide. You can also occasionally spray the top of the soil with the mix as well. Adding a layer of sand in your pots will also help prevent any pests from hiding in the soil! I’ve had lots of experience with getting rid of pests , but I learned most everything from this website!       Thank you so much this was really helpful and informative will and incredible soap do a lot of people are mentioning Neem oil too?
