Help! I bought a plant at Trader Joe’s and I’ve had it for a few weeks and just found spider mites! I panic washed it off before I could take a picture and I don’t see any on any other plants. How long and how far away should I quarantine it from my other plants?
My personal rule of thumb with quarantining anything alive, plants or fish, is to keep them separated for 2-4 weeks after ALL symptoms and signs of issue are gone. I’d also recommend doing regular treatment for the spider mites even if you don’t see any just because the eggs and babies are microscopic so you’d not notice until too late
