I watered my dragon tree around 3 days ago, mixed with a little bit of liquid fertiliser for the first time, and the soil has grown a lot of mould since :( I’m not sure if this is to be expected, or if there’s something I’ve done wrong. Does this warrant a change in soil? Is there anything I should do at this stage at all? I would really appreciate some help. Thank you!

Yeaaa thats not normal. It could be your fertilizer, or something in the soil. Id probably take a 1:3 ratio peroxide:water and douse the soil. It'll kill off any bacteria in the soil. You could always scoop out the top layer. Or if you wanted to do a full repot, still dip the plants roots in the peroxide mix

While the mold is ugly, they are pretty much harmless. But a sign of prolonged dampness. I’d scoop up a couple of inches of soil and water with a hydrogen peroxide mix. As others have mentioned. The key is to let your soil dry out and not let it be overly wet because that will lead to molding again. If the soil retains too much wetness, make sure you add additional perlite, vermiculite, and maybe some bark to aerate it.
