This is my Red Vein, she requires lots of sun (which she gets) and proper water and misting which I feel like I do adequately. However, the leaves get crunchy… what am I doing wrong? She also has new life? I’m very confused.

Crunchy means dry, which means not enough water. New life is good, not a bad thing. Try the watering method of watering from the bottom, not watering from the top. “Bottom watering, also called reverse watering, is adding water to the saucer underneath the pot, or placing the pot in a bucket, sink, or another large container of water. The water is slowly absorbed and drawn into the potting medium through the drainage holes of the pot.” If you’ve been watering the plant from the top, the plant might not be getting enough water, or water is landing on the leaves, and sunlight is drying the water up on the leaves causing them to be crunchy. Let me know if the bottom watering method works! Start will a little water, and if the water is quickly absorbed, the. Add more until the absorption rate slows down. Then you know your plant got enough. That’s my favorite watering method and I use it on my red vein as well!

They like indirect light so that could be contributing to the dryness
