This is my poinsettia that I’m trying to resurrect. All its leaves fell, and so I repotted it with fresh soil. I think the problem was that we overwatered it and never repotted it. i if anybody has experiences saving poinsettias, please do share!!!

The roots were really long and this pot isnt that large i think. Which fertilizer should i use? I have all purpose food that i bought in home depot. Is that good enough? Thank u for your response :)

Oh i should have trimmed the roots! I used that home depot food on my bell pepper plant and it went into a shock for 4 days! So i worry about it but I will try on Poinsettia.

Don’t downsize pot and definitely don’t cut the roots. Use a very small amount of acidic fertilizer maybe every 3 months. Any acidic fertilizer, can be bought at Walmart. Your plant looks alive and will take time to start growing again. No Direct sunlight!!!

They don’t like too much water or direct sunlight

I water mine every 7 to 10 days, mist every few days. Mine do ok and I’ve even propagated with stem cuttings. I wouldn’t say they are thriving but doing ok. Sometimes if I travel for an extended period I’ll come back and it will look bad but so far it’s recovered with care
